I suspect that part of the problem in basketball is that most teams are still very close in ability. For instance, I don't think home advantage helps much against the Recreational Hugs, but many other teams are close.
Jesus... what a miserable schedule to start the season.
While I was still in camp for the 1st game of the season, I played one of the best teams in the division, on the road. Then, for the 3rd game of the season... I played another one of the best teams, again on the road, one day after they got out of camp (leaving me no way to know what their team strength, lineup, or tactics would look like).
Brutal. I already have 1/3 as many losses as I had all of last season. >_<

Seriously freaking annoyed. I honestly don't understand how a team that's 10 points worse than me in team strength beats me when we play each other with the exact same tactics... and I use more energy.
WTF is going on this season? Seriously... the other 2 losses, I at least understand. But WTF was this about?

A couple seasons ago I lost a friendly match I thought for certain I should have won. I used the thingy and I found that I had a 98 wins 1 draw and 1 loss.
I can beat the Doppelgangers, Microwave Repairmen, or the Rub and Tuggers, but I always lose to Cactus HC for some reason.
No worries man. I lost to them to in a friendly game. Only you lost by 5 to my 11. + your still ahead of them in the standings.
I had that problem with some team named cataclysm.

I'm not sure I would call it a miracle - you have one of the teams with a serious chance to promote this season. My best player is also injured.
Strapac came back from his injury for today, and I managed to upset the second place Last Place McGees to move on to the round of 16.
*wipes forehead* Got my AQ at 74 finally!! Right behind my long time nemesis the Doppels!!
Wow... I can't believe I made it out of the last week unscathed.
In 4 games against the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place teams (3 of which were on the road), I somehow managed to squeak out with 4 wins.
Average goal differential was + 2.75.
