I also like to start with the minimums. It's hard to have 80M ready to go in the first week of the season. Doing it in two steps means I have 30 extra days to get the minimum started, and then 60 days into a season to save up for the upgrade.

Not a bad strategy... but I actually find it easier to get the construction started and out of the way.
With the prize money from the end of each season, it's not terribly difficult to have the cash on hand early in the season (as long as you plan for it in the closing weeks of the prior season).
It's just one less thing to plan on having money for during the season (allowing me to focus all my money into facilities, until I start saving for the following season's arena upgrade).

I must be doing something wrong then. I haven't come close to having 80M in the bank yet.
Looking at your facilities, I'm gonna estimate that you've spent about $50M more than me there. So that might be it.
The only facility that I have higher than you is HR (which might also mean that my sponsorship deals have been slightly better than yours?).
I also advanced leagues 2x (I started in division IV), so I got probably an extra $50M from that too.

I think the time when a team could play low or very low and succeed is over at 1st division.

I would say 3 serious ones.
if you see that way, you may screw it up and watch a surprising team (as Emus was given they sucked at the 1st half and wasnt the strongest team in team strength in the playoffs) and eat you alive ...
Oh, at first I wanted to sell him, but than I realized I could use him. But last night I had a terrible night thinking that I acedentally put him on the market for that money, and had to pay a fee like 1 000 000 000
To be honest, I am focusing on the regular season right now. The motivation in II.1 was to get the promotion money, but here there isn't anything really special.
