hey, it's normal that people are reacting like that. and in 2 months, no one knows how the old style looked...

in my opinion it's really nice! but I could not understand why they did it. because there are no new functions implemented. at least at this time, maybe we will get some later...

How do you know what new managers think this now? You're one of these "old" managers who are used to old design. Of course it's little confusing at first but you get a hold of it.

Every single site needs an update once in a while. How long the old desing was there - 5-6 years? From the beginning anyways. It was already time to make it more modern.

@marissis: I know you're talking about the mascots. They're a bit childish but otherwise this site is not like that - it is better now. The assistant is one thing I don't like. You have to pay 10 credits for changing it to your own.

@PPM: Still I say that the timing of this update was terrible and put the transfers in order!

Dude if I get used to this mascots with rigor mortis look in their eyes, I'll know I'm good for psychiatrist.

No, its not normal that people reacting so NEGATIVE. And is it really a good argument that the old design will be forgotten in 2 months?

We had many new things in the history of PPM, but the last one, the biggest one, is the worst one.


its also sad to see that the most reactions have been ignored. For example the reactions on the "new arena"- News. Would you say that this arena which looks like an arena in manager games on PC at the beginning of the 90-s is better that the old??? Never!!!

The reason for that change could be to get more/better sponsors. No sponsor will ask after the functions or the arena. The first look decides.And the old was too "old-fashion-like".

the arena design was 10 steps back. is that an update you are talking about? Wich design is more modern? i am not sure

If they dont give the option to have the old one, so some things should be changed. To bring the old arena, to get the mascots and the assistant out of the design would be a good beginning.

I actually started to blow up my team today. The old design was simple and easy on the eyes (if you blocked all that advertising). The new one is childish, completely oversized and confusing. But there is bigger area for adverts, that's for sure.

There are so many issues that could have been adressed instead wasting effort on this design. The financial system and the match engine needed a big overhaul years ago, even before soccer was released. The youth academy system doesn't work. There are teams who pull a top prospect every week, and others that are yet to pull some decent player. And what's the meaning to all those credit features other than to charge more money? Why does the propack not include all extra features? They chose to start soccer to get new users and more propacks in, that's understandable. But now they are working on handball instead of adressing all those problems.

Bit of a rant here, that's because I'm disappointed. It all started so promising back then a few years ago.

Sorry to see you've done that, if there were some other circumstances I would try hard to make you re-think.

Just for the record - when they've changed old forum to that new "modern" one before this, many people showed their dismay over change also. We got used to it in course of time, BUT we all know that new forum sucks even though we are capable handling it. One thing is when you get used to good application, another is when you get used to bad one.

Instead of screwing this game over and over again,adding new sports... please work it out PPM crew.
It's better to have one good game and happy members, than this.

I agree with your last paragraph, but all the other sentences were complete nonsense. For example where did you make up that 3 years? There's no specific time table for that. You just have to follow the trends in web design and make your decisions based on that.

There seems to be always few loud people shouting that they don't like the new site. It was like that in Youtube and it everywhere else. People tend to write negative comments/feelings more easily than positive. I have seen few negative comments but also much positive comments too. I bet you haven't 'cause you have so strong opinion that you close your eyes from anything else.

But like I said - the overall change was good but there's still much room to improve. Like those mascots, stadions and assistants.

I also think that there would have been much else to do than new outfit but it seems that we can't affect that much. Game engines are still a mystery. Developers don't say anything about how it works, because we have to find it out ourselves. Well, it has been 10 seasons in hockey and 6 seasons in football and I think no-one has solved it. Economy seems to be out of control - for example top teams make enormous amount of money with little costs. Maybe that will change with time but anyway it shouldn't be like this now.
