Holik was a 3rd liner making 7 or 9 mil a season. I knowit was old NHL and the rangers but it happens. I watch iggy play quite a bit and he is not the same player that took the flames to the finals in 04. Maybe playing with the sedins or any other elite players would change that but for now he is starting to show his age. Even flames fans are not happy with him here in Calgary and would like to see their younger prospects out there a little but more because iggy is looking slow.
If by some highly unlikely trade that the Canucks did aquire iggy I would like to see him tried with the sedins, but in reality I think he would end up on the 3rd line and the PP.

Since TSN is blocked at job... did Tootoo got suspended for the hit on Miller? Hopefully not, but he's not a Bruins so I don't know.

Didn't see it. I caught a quick replay this morning, but I haven't seen it enough to make a decision.

I'm all for goalie protection... while the goalie is playing goalie.

Odds are Tootoo could've done something to avoid or lessen the impact.

I'm a former Dman, so I'm all for goalie protection, but I also know that the Defense are often the reason goalies get run (forcing them down that lane or even giving them a shove).

yah, looked like momentum was carrying him in, but he didnt seem to make any attempt at all to not hit miller. I'll be interested to see what happens. Tootoo may have had a better chance at a lesser punishment if it wasn't Miller too.

Holy tits, those are odd changes.. Never saw that coming. What's bs is that teams from Conferences A&B have lesser chances of making the playoffs just b/c they have 8 teams each while C&D have 7 teams each. Quite an innovative decision, but will be controversial for sure.
