staff will cap out earlier when they hit 200 OTR while players will keep going. Soccer players cap out at 655 OTR or something but the hockey players are 'uncapped'

Speaking of atty's, do you guys bother to train non essential atty's? Do you train offense on d-men and defense on your forwards?

No. But, technique is really essential for all players. Most of my players have higher tech than aggression, and all at least 1:1 tech:agr.

Agreed, tech is essential. I've got a few D-men without tech, their Q is too low to train it up, and whenever I run into a half decent team the penalty minutes pile up.

Other than that I've started to train shooting on any player with a Q high enough to make it worthwhile. Most of my top point producers are also tops in shooting. But other people have claimed different results.

Given that salary seems to be mostly determined by the highest attribute, I take that as an incentive to develop more rounded players rather than just straight 2:1:1 guys.

I have a mix of 2:1:1 and 4:3:2 players, depending on qualities. I train shooting with everyone, but my centers tend to be less than other players... All of my centers are 4:3:2 guys.

I too try to mix up the 2:1:1 & 4:3:2. For the most part my goalie & centers are 2:1:1 with my wingers and defenseman around the 4:3:2. Some of my D-men are getting more the the 2:1:1 but thats becasue they have crappy pass qualities.

I think it should do well as having "complete player". Complete player is a guy who is always in top of yours statistic table (have the most points).
I think he is not the best scorer, the best defender, he is just the most useful player.
If you ask me whether team is stronger with those kind of players or not, I currently have an opinion that team is not stronger.

Tech or pass for the 3?

My centers are 4:3:2, off:pas:tec, example my centers are all around 110:75:55 or so, except my 4th line center, who is just breaking into the club.

Your centers are outpacing mine by quite a bit at the moment.

In that case, I won't torture you by telling you what Irresistible Force's centers are... no reason for both of us to be depressed.

well i payed for him because he was 99 how does it drop to 70 after i get him
