what I would like to know is whether the guy with a shot on goal in the statistic, is also the one who's attributes are being used in the calculation whether that shot will become a goal.

what about in the tv replay - do they match the statistics? Are the passes etc in there whats being used in the calculations?
How is overall team strenght calculated?

Pretty sure mine is... just looked at your team. That's a little odd. Check other teams. Their numbers work out.
I have seen many teams that doesnt work out.
