As far as I know (because it was already answered) it doesn't matter.
But if it doesn't matter, why can we choose who will take corner kicks for R and L side? I guess if it wouldn't matter, we could not choose the side?
I think it does. It makes the ball fly at different angle.
Say if L-footed player takes corner kick, from L side, the ball will fly more outwards, if he took the kick from R side, the ball would fly more inwards.
This doesn't mean that this makes him better at any side. It depends on what type of corner kick do we want.

Of course, the flight curve of the ball is very different - towards the goal or away from the goal. Corner situations really change with that. Most like the engine does not take that into account though.
But, the more important point is, you can in principle take corners from both sides even if you are one-footed.

Yeah, but why can we choose corner kick takers for R/L side, if the game engine doesn't take that into account?
I don't know, just for fun, or maybe there indeed is a bonus for the preferred side?
Remember, L, R and U is not the footedness but the preferred side. That is not necessarily the same (RL-example Robben). Maybe there is a malus if a player takes corners from the wrong side (as he gets one if he plays there). But, I'm just guessing.

Why?...if you choose your RM to do a corner on left side than in case of poorely done corner and quick counter attack your RM place will be empty...same goes for RD, and Left side too...
Do you really think THAT is taken into account in the engine. I surely believe not. Even goalkeepers can take penalties, corners, etc. without complications. I never saw any break situation after one of the special plays.
I actually do think its taken into account, with really small imapct, but yes.
And i also think that there is absolutely of no importance if you ever seen it in PPM live game, because, from what I understand, ppm live actions have nothing to do with the actualy game calculations, from what I have last heard, ppm live actions are just randomly choosen, so that we can look at something. Only real thing between real calculations and ppm live actions is final result and cards.
I could be wrong, but from what i remember, some time back, it was case like this.
Please correct me if Im mistaken.

I don't think you're 100% right. Of course the actual wording of the live broadcast is just a show. But behind it are engine calculations (at least in the important situations), and individual skill checks. So t.e. if someone takes a shot, he takes a shot. At least that's what vlady told.
From all I've learned the engine works something like this, that depending on lots of things (tactics, strength, possession...) you have certain match situations at specific times. These are somehow calculated, some result occurs (goal, shot, foul, offside, cards...), situation ends. There doesn't seem to be any connection between the individual situations.
There never ever was a break situation, that means a corner, free kick or penalty for one team which also led to a chance of the other team, right? So I don't see any possibility how the choice of the player involved in that situation can have an influence on the later match.

YOU could be right, yes...now that you mentioned it I also think that I have read those answers.
ANd about the corners etc and counters after them...its possible that engine doesant work that way, but still, my choice of players for left corner taker will be some guy on the left side of the field and from right side for right corner.

When will you finally implement "Preview" and/or "Edit" buttons in the forums? This is so annoying when you make a mistake and you have to make another post. Annoying for us and annoying for the moderators who have to clean up the mess. Please, enter the modern era with these two simple functions.
