Over the next two seasons the Australian Senior national team will be trying to qualify for the next major tournament which is the intercontinental Cup. In the Qualification phase 3 groups 6 Teams and one group of 5 teams will all verse each other twice for two spots in the cup.
Australia is in group B with Brazil, Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Paraguay.

Australia kicked off their Intercontinental Cup Qualifiaction last night with a impressive 2-0 win over Indonesia.
Australia were clearly the better side throughout the match dominating Indonesia with a total of 18 shots over the 90 minutes twelve of which were on target.
It took 76 minutes but eventually Australia took one of their chances with Riley Cannell netting one. This was followed 10 minutes later with a world Class free kick from Kane billington.

Australia have proved themselves and are 2 from 2 at the intercontinental cup Qualifiers after wins over Malaysia and Indonesia. They were games that we should have won and did so im pretty happy with how we are going at the moment. Where we went wrong in the world cup qualifiers were dropping points where we shouldnthave so its looking good.
Those games i now consider to be warm games as our next two games are against tougher opposition in Brazil & Chinese Taipei. Will be happy to get any points from these two games.
