That sucks! The market for free agents is so messed up in this game.

The bid wars on any decent players tend to get away from me, too. I'm currently spending a ton of cash just to maintain my team while I do the youth camps, so this comes at a really bad time, too... Ugh.

Figures that I would get the first pick on the draft that is ON MY BIRTHDAY, and there not being a single A in the player pool (I mean, I have 3 6/6 CL guys left to scout, so I guess you never know?).

Anyone else think Handball salaries are a little out of control? My daily handball player salary expense is almost equal to my entire hockey teams daily expense.

I remember talking about this a long time ago, and the response was handball rosters require less players so salaries are higher on average, but it's just gotten way out of control. I have 1 player with $500k a day, and my highest hockey salary is 140K. The hockey player is also 400 OR higher than the handball player.

And that extra 400 OR is over 1 less attribute!

Yeah, it's insane, my highest salary in hockey is 109k, I only have 10 players under 100k in Handball (over 27 players), with the highest being 365k. And I am currently paying 412k/day extra player fee.

Salaries in hockey: 1,280,417, in handball 4,128,595 (+ 412,860).

It would be one thing if it was more like soccer, erm sorry, football, where your income actually is way higher since the player salaries are higher.

Weekly income in hockey is around 35-40M (and with the offers I got this week will go down to around 25-30M, but I'm a tier 2 team)
In handball I get around 60M total per week as #2 overall.

Handball vs hockey income is actually not that much higher - I'm almost to the point of overpassing my hockey account, which is older, in total earnings, but I've also been in the top league for much longuer/more consistently in handball...

Yeah, the salary to income ratio makes no sense in handball. Total salaries, provided you’re looking at 40 players in hockey and 25 in handball should be roughly the same given income for both is pretty similar. I make about as much in hockey as I do in handball.

Maybe it’s worth mentioning to Vlady. Doubt anything would come of it but you never know.

With teams being able to spend over 200M on a free agent, there's gotte be other countries where the income is actually greater than what we have, since we have such a small user base.

I seem to remember the economy was kinda going out of control in hockey when they created handball (that was before the free agent system), so I think it may have been intentional for volleyball to have this "discrepancy" (but then they introduced the free agent systems to all sports regardless of that difference...)

Managed to sell Jonathan Baldry for over 100M. That'll help because 1. I am now under the max player limit (And his almost 300k salary means 700k less goes out everyday) so I can let go some staff, and 2. That warning that I'm in the red and have 5 days left to get back to a positive balance is finally gone xD

I'm sad though, having to sell players you've built up from scratch in their prime just to stay afloat is frickin cruel :/

And agreed. It's really rough to have to do that. Getting under the player max and reducing staff is going to have a significant improvement to your financials though. Over a season it'll be really noticable.

I finally got myself down under the 25 player limit only to get not 1, but 2 6/6 15yo prospects with REALLY good quality distributions (a defensive UW and RB) and decent starting ORs.

So um, decent prospects will be hitting the market soon. I'm thinking
Stéphane Iredale (16yo 5/6 defensive LW)
and
Clarence Wright (19yo 4/6 offensive P or LW)
and maybe even
Randy Durkin (17yo 5/6 goalie, not NT material atm (low starting OR) but could've been for the U21 eventually)

Also might decide to try to unload Carlos Hughes once the season is over (I still want his prize money for save %, lol) before he goes down to 1 C/L and doesn't fetch me much.

It sucks because without him and Baldry my team will basically be #3 next season, so I may as well also sell Gauvin, but dang, if I we want to keep the NT alive and I want to keep my team in the green, I don't think I have a choice D:

Apparently, there are now only 7 active Canadian handball teams that are not in division I !! Not much chance to rebuild in Division II now !!

Don't be surprised that the Reflex team will go bankrupt.
