Sure, but if the player miss the target... the quality of the keeper is irrelevant..
Also you have to be patience and wait for the shot. If you get eager as a goalkeeper you are useless. There are many factors why you need a good goalie for penalty shots.

I'm not sure. I train midfield for this player but the Goalkeeping attribute is bold and the Shooting attribute is blue.

I think it is just a layout thing, mainly separating the primary attributes from the secondaries.
There are no colors anymore.
Shooting is important for all players, so maybe it was separated from the other secondary attributes which all are not useful for all players.
