No Damon Laporte?

He's on my list. Just trying to be sure I identify all top Cnd talent before making commitments. Used your database, plus the U18 roster from last year, plus I'm scouting leagues. Assuming most guys have been identified but would love to unearth a gem or two.

With max 50 on the roster I'm hoping to have about thirty 20 year olds and twenty 19 year olds.

FYI - I'm focused on finding RD's right now

I sold Neal Berman last year if that helps at all. He *will* be 20 4/6.

You can add whoever you want this week to look at their player build (you won't see Q's until scouted). If you don't like what you see, they can be dropped until next Sunday. Once we hit day 14, any player added must stay on the team.

As for the RD, I think that's the position with the least strength and depth. I like Mavrick Sirois, he has above average Exp.

This is awesome. I knew about the day 14 limit but I didn't realize I could add, view players, and then release them before day 14. Golden advice!

Sirois is on my short-list and will likely be added this week.

Ok - I just gave it a try. I added Fredrick Facey to see what his build is like but now I can't remove him from the team. It simply says "This player cannot be dismissed from the national team".

Am I doing something wrong?

I thought you could only remove players added on a previous season and not ones added in the current season.

I'm guessing you might be right but themightyoil's description seems to indicate differently.

Is there anyone on the PPM staff that can help clarify this doubt and help me remove Facey?

All that I can do is ask and find out what the rule is. They won't make an exception to said rule though. Was he at least a bubble player?

He's the 6th highest overall 19/20 year old in Canada. However I didn't even know what position he played nor what his build looks like. After adding him I think he's not one of our top two goalies so I would like to drop him and add a 19 year old G.

However, from a PPM perspective - I think the descriptions provided in the NT GM page is clear "National team general manager can select up to 50 players for the national team during one season. Players selected for the team after the first week of the season, cannot be dismissed during that season. Players selected in the previous seasons or by a previous manager can be dismissed until the 14th day of the season".

My bad for the misunderstanding.

I guess my only question now is for next year. Can I add someone in week one (to check them out) and drop them during week #1?

Ah, there you have it. No worries about adding that guy. Consider your roster size 49 players then. Who knows, maybe he'll come up big!?!?!

I'll chalk that one up to NT rookie mistakes - hopefully our fans are tolerant during my learning curve
