Yup, I think that 10 day period where you can't do anything is costing us a lot of managers. I could understand for a couple of days but 10 is not good. If I hadn't had friends already in the game, I'm not sure if I would have waited it out either.
True enough, I guess I can understand trying to reduce initial mistakes but it shouldn't come to costing the game players. There's a lot of learning as you go involved.
