Well, I have to admit you bothgot a point. But the computation should be based on a combination of factors, including division, team strength, OTR, etc... You definitely want to reward best teams by giving them an advantage. However, this bonus should be linear at best, not exponential, so that there is still some hope for the rest of us.
For sure. As OTR levels off though theoretically the gap in average OTR between division 1 and 2 will decrease significantly. I just see the finances becoming much more even... in which case the main perk is strictly the chance to play in the Champions League since anyone can play in the Cup Winners Cup.
But my argument is that OTR needs to cap out at a point and create a system where it isn't always the same teams in I.1 because of an inherent advantage to being in that league.

I completely agree. All I'm saying is if you bust your nutts and get to I.1 there should be more reward. Lots of teams who are a bubble I.1 team are now promoting only to be relegated again and are worse off then if they just stayed in division 2. It should be more worth their while even if they only win 7-10 games.
I would have been far better off not going up to I.1 last season.
You essentially have to be able to crack top-12 in my eyes to make it worth while. To come up only to get relegated doesn't do you much good. Still waiting to hear back the cause of the boost in OTR gain in game 2.
Is OTR that important? I know I am just a team in a low level division, but the OTR doesn't mean squat to me. If it goes up, I am happy but I am more concerned about my "star" rating. This year, I know I can compete for first place since my "star" rating is in the top 3.

OTR determines your General Sponsor, which is where the big money in this game comes from.
