I'm starting the transition away from 1:1. That being said I no long train >1:1. They vary from 30-50 to 50-50 mostly.
Fair enough. I think i might do the same to boost training speed.
Is there a "tertiary" stat you would recommend training up on goaltenders? I think I have heard some say aggression is good, but i dont really know why. If so, what ratio?
Nope. Goal, Tech & Pass. I've never seen a goalie with anything different. Every goalie in US I.1 that I've scouted has less than 30 Aggression.
Does anyone know what tactics beat what? I know Defensive beats Offensive, but what about the others?
I have a game tomorrow against a guy who only uses Normal, so I'd like to take advantage of that.

I have a relatively large squad... 56 players in total, which exceeds the limit of 40 that costs me about 120K/day.
I don't know what to do.. especially since the extra 16 players are mostly the sudden flood of youngsters that came through the SA, and other good young players bought for the future. I can't move them since they are basically my future team.
However, the rest of the players are either already on the 'League' or 'Friendly' squads, or are close to earning a playing spot.
For the managers who have spent seasons with a large number of players and has had to pay that extra fee every day, is it really worth it to develop more players?

Yes. Develop them. But they should be on your friendly squad. Rule of thumb, for every guy you take in, one has to go. Fire sale down to 40 then sell one every couple of weeks when you get a pull that you keep. What guys are on your friendly squad? If they aren't prospects and aren't in the league lineup there's no reason to have them.
The guys on my 'friendly' squad are consisted mostly of the 4th liners, players close to cracking the league lineup, and a bit of the young players.
The only players that should be replaced are the ones already in my league lineup, some of whom I wrongly purchased, who have decent attributes but below-av g Qualities. I'm hesitant to replace any of them since they are what make my team's OTS.
But there are some guys that should be sold at the moment for sure. But that's only about 5-7 players which leaves about 9-11 players who have to be sold to make it down to a 40-man roster.
Such frustrations! haha
