Anyone notice that a team that is obviously outmatched in game often scores first or at least early in the game before the wheels fall off and the game becomes a blow out?
Once in awhile. But nothing abnormal. Often you win 7-1 and a goal is in the middle of the game, it's just more noticeable when goals are scored at the extrema of a game.
I've noticed it in a lot of games, I've looked at. Particulary when tactics are countered.
If you have a player that isn't scouted, is his AVQ an estimate of your scouts, like the Q's of his attributes, or is that his actual AVQ?
For example, Player A is unscouted, and his AVQ is stated as 28. If I scout him, will his AVQ change like his Q's will, or is the 28 his actual AVQ?
Thanks for the help.

AQ will change yes. I think the AQ isn't even an average of the unscouted Qs but I don't have any unscouted guys to check. Scout and it becomes proper though.
Yah, I think they are separate indicators of the true scouted qualities of the player
I have a defenceman with an Agression Q of 99 (scouted), but Technique is only 57... is it worth it to try to keep his tech equal to avoid penalties? Or just accept that he will have low tech?
I think low tec not only makes the player take more penalties, it also limits the effectiveness of said player. It's probably better to keep the tec at a respectable level.
Train his tec, it will decrease penalties and make him a better player. In his case i would train his tec to about 75% of his aggression, that way it's not too much of a training burden.
Yes you need to train tech, but 1:1 is not necessary. There is a balance. If you train tech 1:1 his PIMS will drop but he won't be as good in general.
I would train tech to 50%, defencemen with low tech don't get nearly as many penalties as they used to.
