I don't have any credits to start up a Credit Tournament. So, I wouldn't be able to do it myself and I more then likely wouldn't be able to play either. If someone wants to run this tournament as a Credit Tournament, they are more then welcome to start it up.
Nah, lets keep it free and informal for now. Once we have a full 32 team tourney we can consider changing it to a credit tournament.
I believe you can make credit tournaments free to enter? If so, then it would make things simple for set up. Just a thought for next season if it's possible 
I think if you keep it a non credit entity you keep the community and teams that want to be in it - they talk on forums and have a good time.

Hitterz pulled off the upset against the Americans taking the series in game 3.
I don't know how many will see this, but I want to get some ideas of what to do to have a tournament for the USA. I want us to have a tournament that managers would want to join and have some fun. One idea I have is possibly doing a U20 tournament, in which we all play with players that are Under 20 years old.
The more feedback that can be posted, the better idea I or we all know what we should do for a tournament for the United States.

It would be cool to have a homegrown tourney - where your players all had to be US players - it would level things out quite a bit against the teams that have a lot of foreign stars. U20 may be a bit early, most players are still U20, maybe a U18 tournament.
I like both the U20 or U18 ideas, but Opivy's idea of a homegrown tourney is also kind of fun
We could also maybe call it the North America/USA Youth tourney, and make it teams need to play with homegrown players under 18 ;P

Another option might be to put a limit on experience/chemistry to try and promote teams playing with new players?
That would make it nearly impossible for people to field teams I imagine.
Just going with either all USA players or U18 would rule me out from such a competition. Personally I think the best way to get very many teams is to go through ppm for organizing it so ya dont have to deal with the BS of scheduling here in the forum. One other thing, if it's going to be the North American Tournament the teams of Mexico should be invited too since they're also NA.
Its not that hard to organize it ourselves - just take players who are active and it should be simple.
My players are all U20 and all American. I'll be all set either way.
