I'm wondering if it is possible, in the future, to retain all-time stats of players no longer with the team. It would be nice, especially for record keeping. I also understand this is, at least in theory, possible on an individual basis via Hall of Fame. But I was thinking how nice it would be to see who led the team in goals in season 4; but what if it was a player who is no longer with the team? Well then those stats are gone. Just a thought.

well, they are not necessarily all gone if you are pro active in saving a player's stats the season he left your team.
still, that would be a nice feature at least as a credit feature especially when the game ages to the point of player retirement.

Vlady it would be cool if you could create a hockey goalie mask design for a credit feature in your goalie profile.

What about a thing that would show you the power of your formation, before playing the game... Does it make sense? For example I am experimenting with my soccer team, and I want to see what is the overall power of the team before it plays any games... I hope it makes some kind of sense...

How about create another credit feature where you can list player on the transfer for 1 day? Lets say it would cost 1 credit. That would be nice. I hate to wait 2 days.

Instead of putting new managers into what ever league has an opening, why not create a "Newbie" league. same number of teams 40 players on each team and have each team member have close to the same stats. Have "season" run 60 days, this would allow new coaches to learn the game, but with out having to learn with a team that loses every game or is out of contention. after the 60 days, they could decide if they want to play in the regular leagues, and have a head start on what they need to do as a coach.

A really huge number of new managers do nothing more than sign up. So any lengthy season runs the risk of teams playing against bot. PPM solitaire.

So instead perhaps much shorter seasons. The PPM season is 16 weeks long, so let's split it into 4 4-week miniseasons. In 4 weeks you could have 12 match dates. So have 6-team leagues playing 10 matches, and the final two for a 2-leg championship. Add 6-teams at a time and zero out the standings. If they enter at the 5-match mark, then everyone starts at 5 points, with a mini-sprint.

At the break between mini-seasons move teams into new mini leagues based on manager experience. If a team has experience of 5 or more they move to a beginner's league. These would be managers who are at least trying. Sort out the other managers by time of last login, they probably aren't going to last, but give them their 21 days.

And then have another level for teams with 10 or more experience. They will be relatively competitive with each other, and will want to figure out why they are losing.

At the 16-week break, move teams with 10 or more experience into the regular pyramid.

So yo are proprosing a beginner league, so to speak, to get new players in instead of throwing them in (in America) III.13 or something like that?

Yeah. It's definitely a good idea. The short seasons are a nice touch. I would maybe even limit their tactical options in the beginning. Maybe even limit what info you show to them so they aren't overwhelmed.

They could also do something like HockeyArena just added. HA gives you a list of tasks to do, starting from the easiest, like creating lines or something. It's just to get new players familiar with everything that you can do. And you get a bit of money for each assignment that you complete. I haven't talked to any new managers to know how effective it's been, but I would think that would be a big help.

Tie those two together. The more assignments they complete, the more info/options they can see. And you can only graduate to the real pyramid once you complete a certain amount of assignments + short seasons.

Yes. They eventually have to synchronize with the regular season, but the regular season of 38 or 42 matches is too long for someone starting out. If they enter at mid-season, they may feel overwhelmed being 45 points out of contention. If they start at the beginning of the season with a bunch of other new teams, they might end up with 15 dead teams, and get bored.

With 4-mini-seasons, if someone starts in the 3rd mini-season, they can get some experience and then start the next regular season. If they never log in again it won't matter. And if some starts at match 6 of a 10-match mini-season, they will get a restart in a couple of weeks.

And there would be several levels of competition. A level for teams with 0 experience, with 5 experience, and with 10 or more experience. The 0 is for teams that have just signed up. 5 is for those who have at least tried to play, and may or may not continue. 10 are ready for regular competition, but they can play a couple of more mini-seasons until they can be moved into the regular leagues at the start of the season.

A lot of beginners doesnt like that there is only 3 games per week. Thats the reason also for them to leave the game.
