Well, The more you put game importance high, the faster your player will gain experience. It's the only reason to pur high importance in frendlies, to pump up experience. Can be usefull if you don't expect to go far in playoff, better burn up your energy to gain xp rather than finishing in the lame spot.

I want your league that you voted for me so I guess the new GM of Canada's national team to pass that I'm leaving the same level as you say low.
