Why not create playoffs to be played to 3 wins?

They could make time.

I know, but don't count on it

Better with 2 wins because of surprises. If there are 3, strongest team will always win 1st place.

Or not. Easier to win 2 matches on surprise than 3 on long row. Strong teams are also exausted at the end of season ( NT games, tournaments...) so more avarage teams could easily beat them on long shot imo. On 2 wins, you screw first match with tacs or random just beats you and you are already out of playoffs - on 3 wins, you could still had some chances of comeback
And it would be more realistic. Desert of season are playoffs - they shouldn't end so fast - 6 matches and there is a champ
It could be more competitive

I still miss 4 on 4 when both players get 2, 5...more minutes for fights. Maybe some massive fights, so players get penalty to miss some match?

There are so many things that could make hockey more unpredictable than the way it's now

The way this game is set, 2 wins are best option believe me. After latest tweaking it's more difficult for weak teams to beat strong teams. So only thing that could give weak team some hope is that strong team underestimate his opponent in first match. I have strong team but it became a bit boring when you don't have to bother to much playing against weak teams.
In RL weak teams could cause upset, but those parts which make an upset in RL, you can't find here. Talking about games when importance is equal.
Nt games are not calculated anymore, weak teams spend more energy in tournaments.

A new stats called "Hits" or "Takeaways"
Because right now, its really hard to tell how well a D-man is playing.

Having a best of 5 series in the playoffs is not going to help weaker teams in the long run.

Stronger teams have an extra match to gain OTS.
And all things being equal, stronger teams will win the series anyway.

there could be a way to set up a 4 man pp an 3 man PK and stuff like that so penalties can be come more important and realistic

Why would that not be a good idea?

Could we have a Symbol (like an x) in standings to indicate that a team has clinched a playoff spot etc.?
