Anyone scout anything good for the draft? Only 2 A’s so far lol.
Why is it in handball we can scout almost every player, but only half in hockey?

Hockey does require more players, and we get more picks total, so more players to scout from, I guess. It's still a lottery, either way. I have dismissed A picks in the past, and most Bs aren't even worth the look (so Cs and especially Ds are ridiculous to have in the pool, but whatever).
Same here. I will probably get a B with the third pick...
I'm commencing a rebuild too. My core is all 1/6 or worse. Will be some fresh faces near the top in a season or two I suspect.
My A+ D guy has a decent Average Q (83) and was 4.5*, but his distribution is 92/99/55/99... Like... You gave him 82 in goalie, you couldn't spare some of that for his tech, stupid game?! xD
I'm pretty sure the other guy I still have was another A. 77% quality. With 91/92/95 goa/def/off. He has nothing else. Tech 50, so making him a forward (even though that's his main attribute atm) isn't optimal.
All this hype! Such poor skill distribution! XD

How can I outshoot someone 52-11, and lose 2-1? Cost me the playoffs for cup winners cup. I get that happens sometimes, but it’s like constant this season for me. So frustrating. And it always happens in key games.
The following article from PPM magazine may shed some light on the subject.
Go to PPM magazine.
On the right side of the page under "categories" choose "information".
On page 2, you should find the article called "Revisit our classics (Part 2)".
In the table provided, you will see that
Home "breaking up the play" provides fewer goals than Away "breaking up the play" when those tactics are used against each other by both teams. I assume this does not mean that this will always be the case, but that there is a higher probability that this result will occur.

Makes sense. In my last game, I went defensive and he went offensive so indirectly countered his tactics.
There seems to be some kind of "shot luck/desperation" adjustment going on when a team has very little shots. I've mostly won those games where the opponent was not even a quarter of my strength, but somehow they managed 2-3 goals out of 10 shots against my top goalie.
Multiple times.
I have lost games that way too, where I was home, had the tactics and a huge advantage, but somehow couldn't buy more than 1 goal on 50 shots while they scored 3 in 12.
It's happened too many times for me to just write it off as random occurrence. I'm RNG cursed with most games to begin with, though, so there is that xD

Alternatively, 5-2 when shots are 40+ to 10-15 draw no attention.
There is a goalie confidence factor. So if the opponent's goalie stops a lot in the first, it becomes harder to score while low shots against yours keeps confidence nominal.

My goalie just made 71 saves. In a 2-1 shootout loss.
Congrats, mate.
Sorry, Mandalorians.
