We should start thinking about our first National Team. If your interested in being the manager, post your intentions. If you have players with good Quality and OR, post them here. Like I've done in hockey, I'll search out and scout the best Canadian players at a certain position, if anyone else has good scouting and would like to do the same let it be known. Good luck to everyone in season 2.

When the first National Team gets going I'd like to try to be the manager. I would look for speedy midfielders, defenders with strong passing and tech, and would try to employ the same type of system my team, Bow Valley AFC, used to win league II.1 last year (a modified 4-4-2, with one forward with high tech and passing to play in the hole). I don't know if any of my players would make the cut, but we would see once the national program has been announced.
Now would they do national teams this season or next? I though hockey took till the third season to do it. Figured they might wait till more predominate players are available. Since most players are still wankey.
I think I have a potential player, but I'll wait until scouting is complete... and possibly until we have some idea as to when National Teams will be formed.
I'd be interested in managing. I've managed to win my div II table with a less individually talented team, so I may have developed some effective formation and player placement approaches--we'll see how that bears out this season.

I have some good players (if I remember correctly 3 best player in my league) but I don't think I am in the right division to have potential national players.

Without having scouted him, I would say Sam Beckford is a National Team candidate. His OR and AQ look very good and his CL is 6/6 at 16 years old. If you can keep your Training and Regeneration facilities moving upwards he will be right there come selection time.
I have nobody. Haha. Well... a goalie... but he's nothing overly special.

I'll make a wager. X number of credits that I don't pull a guy above such an OR and above 3 star potential. Hell... I'd take a 2.5 star potential these days! I'm going to be down to 18 players in a couple days!
I don't know, I had same thing in hockey, I think it is just pure luck.
