Added to the scouting list. Still working through the latest draft, it takes a while haha.
Well, that loss to the UK will hurt a lot...
On paper we essentially had the better team (by a minimal margin, but still). We got unlucky early on in the 3rd and their goalie was clutch.
Now we have an injury...
We're still in a qualifying spot, but we REALLY need to win vs Switzerland to move on. So it's all in on this one.
On the bright side, our goalies will be a lot stronger next season, so maybe we won't keep falling apart at the end of the game xD.

Congratulations. Anything can happen in the playoffs, but we are already assured a top 8 position which is already very good.

Sadly we are very much outmatched in this first playoff game. Still going to tempt the odds and try to win, though.
Our lack of a "main 3 lines" may be our undoing in that we don't have a particular set of guys that stand out and can play more minutes than the rest, but that could also be our saving grace in that we've played every tournament game so far with a 25% distribution all around, which means everyone is equally tired, but not as much as other team's main lines.

Well, would you look at that! I managed to set the tactics just well enough to counter them, and we are now going to face Slovakia, whom we have an OT win against so far in this tournament (despite the fact that they have a good 20+ lead in average OR)!

Tough opponents for sure, but everything is possible in this tournament. A top 4 finish is already great. It's all gravy from here!
Bronze medal game vs Sweden today. i'm going to reunite Knight-Neath-Jensen and see if that sparks a bit more productivity.
Also, you'll prolly notice I didn't drop my name in the hat for next season - I have been so ungodly busy lately that I think it's best someone else takes the reigns because I may slip up eventually.
But I'm always willing to be there as an advisor and will try my best to update the player stats within the next week or 2. My OR prediction algorithm has gotten pretty dang good
