The highest potential rating prospect to come through my sports academy has been 3 stars. The majority haven't been higher then 2 stars. I'm just curious if this is the norm when a new sport starts or if I'm just getting very unlucky.
What has everyone else experienced?

This is expected. The rate at which you get quality players depends on roster size. You don't want to get lots when you only need 5 to a team. It'll take longer than any other sport. I have data to back this, just haven't sifted through it yet.
I have had one 4* player. Came in at 230 OR and 84% Avg Q. He is at best 3-4 years from being a starter based on OR and height.
Another thing to think about is that with only 70 day seasons there are only 70 days of training. Basketball players will not reach the same OR levels as players in other sports. For my 4* guy when he reaches 20 years old he will have had about 350 days of training. versus 560 days in other sports. PPM may have adjusted the training to offset that but I do not see evidence of that.
I like that it is different.

Well that's definitely good to know, I just look at it like I'm due for 2 good ones in a row ☺ and while my facilities are higher. I do enjoy things being different, with thinking about what gandalf said, this makes original players even more important (off to the market I go ☺)
@Canucks Would be interesting to know the odds, u know if your not too busy to sift thru all the data ☺

Is the roster limit too much? Does this effect the draft?
The frequency you get good players goes down as the size of teams goes down - this guards against teams full of superstars.
I was thinking, has anyone actually seen a hidden hem in these drafts...I see em in hockey all the time
I've selected a couple of players 70% plus through the draft, which isn't too bad. I've seen a number of A players, and I think one or two A+.
So wait. Are you saying that if I were to make my team a 30 man roster for basketball and pay the daily fee's, that I would have a higher chance of pulling good quality players?
I always assumed the opposite, that if the system saw you had few players obviously you needed some decent quality ones.

No. I'm talking about the "required size of teams", sorry. So basketball requires 5, therefore lowest frequency of good pulls. Handball 6, soccer 11, hockey 22.
