at the end of my rope trying to sort this crap game of handball out. Granted, my teams not close to being a top contender, i do have some realistic expectations, BUT...why in the hell, or rather how, or WHO turns the ball over constantly once the opposing team scores? Its like freaking clock work, scored against, then fuck, the other team is scoring again, and then again, and then again. I have one of the better goalies in the league, with high passing, yet, its the same bs over and over....
Ida know, either i dont understand the rules of the actual game, or if theres some personnel swap going on that my players just throw the ball away, or as it seems, hands it to my opponents. years of this ppm "guess what we have in store for your team today nonsense".
How about stating during the game WHO is committing turnovers, like in bball. Does little good after the game to see a list of turnovers but you dont have the info to define how or why or when. If its a transition failure, phuck, TELL US! Tired of speculating this that and the other. Christ im not asking for the keys to the shinny sports car, just a little bit of intel would be helpful, TO EVERYBODY.

And again. PPM showing just how shitty this game is. My goalie has 229 more OR than opponents goalie...And which goalie do ya think plays far better? Yeah...a piece of shit 621 OR dominates a 850+ goalie....
Theres a reason they keep offering their "pro packs" at 40-50% off....this site is failing and id contribute that to PISS POOR PROGRAMMING.

not to defend the PPM folk, but there are some plausible reasons for the result today. the other team had better shots performance, so while your GK has a better quality compared to the opposition, the opponent GK was facing shots of lower quality. add to that, the opponent was playing at home, so gets a slight home advantage bonus (it could have higher with some of the vacant stands...).
on another thought, I don't think it's worth it to fret over a game.

I've been around long enough to see enough of the "40% off sales" on PPM come and go. I can tell you for a fact that some of these sales ALWAYS happen around the same time of year. For the last 2 years, there have always been sales around thanksgiving AND christmas time.
That said, I have noticed a few more sales in the last 12 months. I don't think that's so much because of the quality of their product, but moreso 1) economic conditions and 2) the STRUCTURE of their product.
1) The Euro (the currency which PPM charges) has plummeted compared to the dollar (and many other major currencies). Because the Euro is worth less than before, when PPM gets money from foreign countries, they get respectively less than before. It's not far-fetched to believe that they've had more "40% off sales" in order to drive up sales volume in an attempt to make as much as before.
2) Any "ladder-type" product will invariably attract users in the early stages, and lose users once people become "elite" or "high-leveled." This is because people run out of things to keep them engaged, and become bored. UNLESS there is end-game content, players will wash out. Worse, the way PPM is structured, it makes it nearly impossible for new players who come later on to compete. So even if the players who drop out are replaced, it isn't sustainable. The end-game content in PPM is so weak, it's laughable. If PPM is dying, it's because of this... not because of "PISS POOR PROGRAMMING."

this has puzzled me all season. GOGH, my best goalie vs bolaga, my not so good but "ok" goalie.
Both goalies have played approx the same number of games. Gogh 30 games, Bolaga 28...i dont think i played any games on any settings higher than normal, might have been a few halves that might have been on a higher setting, maybe 1 or 2.
Heres what is puzzling, Gogh's energy is at 80% while Bolaga is still at 92% energy. I first noticed this after the 3rd game of the season, and the trend of using more then twice the energy has continued all season long.
Why is that? What causes this? At this point im ready to dump my best goalie as he's useless if this is "normal" for this player.

Energy used depends on time played - is Gogh playing twice as many minutes as Bolaga?
no. i played a simple concept all season, the starter played the entire game. There was a couple of games that i split the work load, but as i said, it was only a couple of games, so their playing time should be on par for each other.
like i said earlier, i first noticed this at the very beginning of the season. Even the first game was like this, but i didnt give it much thought until around the 3rd game when i noticed his energy was plummeting at a rate that doest coincide with PPM's guide. There was never a reason to play Gogh on a high or very high setting for 2 reasons, 1.at that time he was one of the highest OR goalies in Div. 2. My season goal for him was to be used ONLY during critical games keeping him fresh for the post season. I was forced to completely bench him by half season, at that point i tossed him in as a back up if things went awfully wrong with my other starter, and that was maybe done a handful of times, maybe. It doesnt make any sense. Anyone with a pro pack please take a look at both my goalies and compare, please. I am baffled. Its like he played on a very high setting all season and that was never the case.
On a whim, I went through your matches for this season and looked at the games each goaltender played at the different levels of match importance.
Those energy numbers actually look about right to me. Gogh played roughly half the season at normal match importance. He also played a handful of games at high. Gogh didn't play at any other levels of match importance. Gogh also played in all of your national Cup matches.
Bolaga played roughly half of his games at very low and roughly half at normal, in addition to about 1 game at all of the other levels of match importance. He also played in a few games for 20 or fewer minutes.
Although they played close to the same number of games, and you didn't often play over normal (you just switched from normal to high for a handful of games), Bolaga got all of the games at very low and got credit for a few games he barely played in.

congrats to Orlando for the win. In the end, it was never really close (though we deluded ourselves into thinking it was)...
I was surprised by that final game. I had a fantastic season and only lost 3 games all year long. 1 to bulls4ever in the NC and 2 to you. I thought I was in trouble when I lost that second game to you. All I could think was uggh Denisov is going to ruin my season again.... I think you should spend another year building OTR before going up, you would be around 560-590 and about 105 on team strength.
I guess I'll be joining you in I.1 - followed by a quick turn around at the end of the season...
