That's brutal! He's a good player though. Did you have a lot of bonuses on him?
15%
I didn't really think he'd get this good. I lucked out on the CL, for one. Also, with the number of "good" players I have, those bonuses do need to be spread out a bit... (Christian Sale, Benji Seabury, George Mott, Benito Allman... They're all similarly good and not far from his age. Then there's Carlos Hughes... Ugh!)
If this is what one of those guys cost me, I'll be in trouble in a couple seasons :/

Speaking of trouble, though, what god did you pray to for those 3 recent youth pulls?! I haven't seen anything over 3.5 stars 375 OR pop out of that academy in forever, and here you get 3 of them at least 4.5 from what I can see, in the same week?!
Although I gotta say, Brandan Carlson's quality distribution is unfortunate as all hell...
Lol, yeah it’s been good. I don’t think any of them were 4.5 stars though. They’re good, but not super stars. Brandon Carlson is quite an unfortunate stat distribution.
A couple of them might be train and sells at the end of the season. I am running into trouble with cash flow as well due to the stupid free agent bids. Had to sell a couple vets. Might have to sell more and start getting younger.

*cries*
First Calvin Hardy gets a crazy offer.
Now it's Carlos Hughes who is costing me 135M to keep around. (Actual offer of 180M)
And I've got Baldry coming up as an UFA in 2 days as well.
I will probably have to take out a loan to pay him
3 players wiped out an entire season's worth of savings.
Having to keep all these young players around just to run the youth team is going to end up costing me my competitiveness... (My daily fee is currently 1.3M. I'll let go the additional Back I hired and drop it back down to 1M a day after camp, but this is ridiculous. We need more teams with good/great facilities!)

I don't think we'll ever get any more players though, the creators have essentially abandoned this and don't do anything to draw new players in.
It sucks we're stuck with the awful free agent system. All it does is funnel good players to teams in countries with more players.

There we go, another 82M gone (102M offer), I even had to take a small loan to afford it :/
*sighs* as a heads up, Trever Easton if going for sale as soon as I have the prize money for his goals and assist at the end of the regular season. He's a very good offensive UB with some CL left in the tank, I just can't justify keeping him when I have so many prospects that can take his place without losing my league ranking. (Which means Baldry will probably be the one to go next season. I do not currently have a replacement for Gauvin)
Given that Colby Bowen is actually not that much worse than Hughes, I may consider actually selling him at the end of the season as well, but I'm afraid this'll hurt our NT if he ends up on a team with lots of money but bad facilities (still has 2/6 CL and trains for .6/ day)

I beat the second ranked OTR team in the world and made it to the Champions League Quarterfinal! This is the furthest I’ve been in an international tournament! Let’s see how far I can push it.
What the hell? Someone offered Bennie Gauvin (29yo 2/6 defensive pivot. He's not awesome or anything) a freaking 111.8M as an RFA. I only have to pay like 87M off of that but right now all I have is 62M because I just paid freaking 70M on another player (whom I thought would actually cost more...)
Eff the economy of this stupid sport I don't have a freakin backup for this guy, because I really didn't think anyone would care about him.

Yeah, the realism of the economy would be present, if the market functioned like it does in global football, for example. But instead, people bid crazy amounts that don't make sense, so it's much harder to get a handle on "true" market value (e.g., what someone, somewhere might actually pay for the player). Frustrating, to be sure.
I find I don't have that problem as much, because most of my players are two way players, and for that reason, don't seem to generate that kind of interest. If they did, I'd be looking around for a cheaper, younger replacement!!
