I decided to quit playing this game after unfair results. My team had an almost perfect season in 38 games with no losses and lost 2 games in a row in the finals with some ridiculous results even if my team was superior and had alot more shots and everything. I am very dissapointed and i decided to quit this because i feel it is unfair. Good luck to you all.
It is hockey. If you watch any of it, you will know that the team with the best players don't always win. So if that upsets you, I don't know what to tell you expect than to deal with it and accept the fact that sometimes you will lose some that you should win or win some that you should lose. I don't think it is necessarily a flaw of the game engine, though you are not the first to be infuriated about it.
Now, you don't have to quit the game. You can go for another near perfect season and come up one season later to 2nd league. You will find that the jump from one league to the next is harsh and that you will not win nearly as much when you jump league. So the additional season in 3rd league will have helped you come up more prepared.
In the long term, this defeat will not change anything for your team. Young teams need money to build up their facilities. And the ammount of money you win depends mostly on the size of your arena, how many games you win and other lesser factors. Being in the 3rd league decreases your pay cheque slightly, but less than losing games does, so it is better to win in 3rd league than lose in 2nd.
Now, if you decide to leave the game for this defeat, then I just lost my time writing this message. If you decide to stay however, I urge you to take a long term approach to your team. Finding good players is only a small part. Building your arena and facilities is the way to go for long term success.

These games happen. Goalies steal games, just like in real life. You could have helped your cause by changing your PP tactics. His PK tactic is the best to defeat your PP. You had 32 minutes in powerplay time and didn't score once. A PPG each game would have made a big difference.
