I've only just begun doing this recently, but I'm wondering if there is any real advantage to scouting your own players. I usually scout "other" players for my own reasons, but I have been noticing some "improvements" to the players' training. Is this just a figment of my imagination, or is this real? Are there any other advantages to scouting one's own players?
The advantage to scouting you own players is to know what position they are best suited for, goalie, center, winger..etc. So players inital stats may make they suited to player center for example but the attributes are better suited to be a winger. In the long run the players will be better off in the position the atty more closly matches.
As for soucting players training better, that is not the case. Scouting a player has no bearing on there traing. On staff, facilities, and attys can affect traing. There is how ever a margin in which a player can train in the same stat. Example I have a player in offense train at 1.4 today but train at 1.3 the day before.
