I have a suggestion which would greatly help the issue of OTR gains from international competitions. I think after competing in either international tourney the team should be ineligable for both in the following season. Teams that are competing in either intl tourney wouldn't get invite to compete in that seasons NC since they wouldn't be eligable to go to the intl tourneys the following season.

This would help the game in a variety of ways:
-it would provide the opportunity of NC success to a wider number of teams
-it would slow the fast rate of OTR gains we're seeing at the top without restricting the teams strength.
-by limiting the huge OTR growth it would help give more teams financial opportunity
-it would have a great effect on manager moral since many more would get the opportunity to stand better chance to succeed in these competitions.
-it doesn't seem like this fix would require a terrible amount of programming so it wouldn't be too difficult. It also doesn't require any rebalancing of balance.

I see your point, but I would also like for you to put yourself in our (Norwegians) position. We are the smallest country in PPM with own NT (last I checked at least). During the last election I think 21 votes was cast in total. Just think how little influence would be left for us if 50 (random number) managers from "Other World" voted in Norway.

so the national team from norway (82 managers) should be voted from the other world? from managers who don't even understand the language? YES, that IS not fair!

It makes more sense, that we create an "other world national team", but not voting in other coutries!

I dont think it would be right for other world teams to have the option of just popping in and influencing the elections in other countries without some sort of investment. The investment being in the form of becoming a part of that league or something, for example. Without such investment in the league it could become very ugly if otherworld teams could band together and decide to affect the election in one country this season and another the following and so on and so on. You know what I mean?

Yes indeed, however I also think it's absolutely stupid that anybody can run for NT managers. I believe only people from that country should be able to apply.

If anybody can apply, anybody should be able to vote.

feel for the Ireland players - they now have more than the 50 teams that was apparently the bar for getting your own league and thus NT but have been told that they cant have one yet.

im just amused by the fact that 'other world' is counted as a country for league play in all the drop down menus but doesnt warrant its own team. I also havent heard any player think that an other world NT would be a problem - oh well will continue to wait for the devs to change their mind and include everyone.

I don't see any logic in that. But that's probably because this is how I have gotten used to it being during my 6 years in different online manager games.

while i also agree that its stupid that players from other countries can run for NT manager, i dont think that you solve anything but letting anyone vote. That just creates another issue.

The better way to solve is to only allow teams from the country to apply for NT manager.

The devs wont change their mind... they don't seem to care what people from the other world league think, even if the general membership don't seem to mind.

Absolutely agree, that's the way it should be.

I dont mind an foreigner applying for NT manager as his chances are slim if none in any country and dont see that as an issue at all.
But what to do with other world, i dont think united selection is a good idea. Other world league is fine as a competition, EBEL league is best example, its a mixture of clubs from different countrys but they all have a national team, not very competative but still, same thing could be applyed here.

@trueblue55 So what do you think how many managers is a minimum for creating a NT for them?

I suggest that the first round in the national cup is drawn and set up the same time as league games (at least 1 day before it starts).

The problem now is that a lot of users has booked friendlies for today, but when NC is set up they are left without a game, and also with no possibility to arrange one.

In RL, foreigners running national teams is quite common, why should we eliminate it from PPM? I don't believe foreigners should have a vote, but I do believe they should be able to run for NT manager.

i think 1 team is the minimum for NT.

They wont be very competitive but at least they can join in.

As to the team disappearing during the season - the team goes no-name and the NT is filled with no-name players. At the end of the season the team is removed and the NT doesnt exist the next season.

It cant be any worse than a larger country just not selecting players to the NT which is also a possibility.

Apart from this team disappearing reason i havent heard any other reason why a country couldnt have an NT.
