Player Acquisition:
The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have signed LW Hampus Björklund. The 23 year old Swedish born player was a free agent following his release from Swedish league II.3 team Björkekärr Avengers. Bjorklund has only played 3 games this season, as such Head Coach Major Gaddis has said he wants to take a wait and see approach regarding the player's fitness levels.
Bjorklund is a former 10 point scorer in Swedish League III.3, where he contributed to his former team's promotion campaign. That experience could prove valuable on the ice, and in the locker room as the Sound Tigers find themselves with a similar chance for promotion this season.

Bridgeport Sound Tigers, I like that this league has active forums, I'm a big fan of reading post game summarys, player pickups, news, etc from around the league instead of just seeing the score or transfer on the league home screen
This was my teams first goal and I thought the plat by play was awesome.
Bradley Scharich waits for his teammates to complete the line change and skates the puck out of his zone. He dishes it to the streaking František Sušánka who gains entry as he flies by Ward Noble. A delayed penalty is being signaled, power play coming up for Raging Bulls unless they can score here. František Sušánka with the puck, he drives towards the net and passes it to Trig Plummer who cycles to the point and sets up Libor Cempírek with a cross-rink feed... his bomb finds the back of the net! I am pretty sure that was redirected in front by František Sušánka. He drew the penalty and then he negated it with a goal! Stephen Cuevas would rather sit this one out in the box.

The Raging bulls are plowing through all opponents right now. The 0-4 win over Cool Beans marked the 6 win in the steak that the Bulls are on right now. the last 3 games have been shutouts in the Bulls favor. The Bulls have outscored their opponents 54-5 on this win steak. Félix Randus has been a Huge help for his team in goal. In his 201 minutes on the ice he has had 102 shots against giving up only 2 goals. This gives him a save percentage of 98.04%. It looks like to even have a chance of taking down the Bulls right now is to find a way to score on this castle wall of a goalie.
Game Recap:
The Bridgeport Sound Tigers played host to the Boston Bulldogs on Wednesday in front of 600 at The Arena at Harbor Yard. Bridgeport continued their habit of jumping out early when Theo Horvat picked the corner of Boston goalie Jesse Anglin just 30 seconds in to the affair. Bridgeport's newest acquisition also got off to a quick start, Hampus Bjorklund grabbed an assist on a Jonas Silberbauer rebound goal in the first period. Bjorklund would double his point total less than 3 minutes later when a Georgi Balzhiev shot was deemed to have just passed the goal line making the score 3-0. The Swede would then go on to make a truly memorable start to his career in Bridgeport when he deflected the shot of countryman Vinny Sandberg past Anglin and into the top corner of the net for the last goal of the period. The second period saw two goals by defense men, Giot (Zvornik, Prokofyev)(PP) and Briešťanský (Palfalvi, Herceg) before it saw 19 year old forward Falk Schönebeck pick up his first point for the club, an assist on Antun Herceg's second goal of the period. With the game all but over at 7-0 the Head Coach took the opportunity to play some of the least used players, however it was the regulars who would get on the board before the final whistle. The league's leading one-two punch, Silberbauer and Horvat, would hook up for two goals, one for each before Bosnian Milun Zvornik nicked the final goal of the game 5 minutes from the final whistle
Bridgeport goaltender Vítězslav Nedojedlý made 21 saves on 21 shots to get his first shutout for the club, while Boston goalie Jesse Anglin made 41 saves on 51 shots.

Bridgeport's Next game is against Raging Bulls (20-11-1 61 Pts) at Krackau Arena on Friday 12/11/15
At a recent press conference the GM of The Raging Bulls was asked to comment on his teams chances against the Sound Tigers. This is what he had to say, "If I was to tell you that I completely confident on a victory. I'd be lieing to you if I said that. Their going to be tough cat to take down. However I have confidence our defense will find a way to hold off their attacks. The thing I emphasize most in practice the most is that defense wins championships. If we can hold them to 1 or 2 goals we can win the game."
Jonas Silberbauer, the top goal scorer and number 1 overall player, will have his work cut out for him as he goes up against the leagues top goalie Félix Randus. Radnus has not given up a goal in the past 226 minutes on ice.
Its a clash of the top offensive players vs. the top goalie. It will be a match you don't want to miss. Tune in on PPM.TV at 10:00am (CST) Friday the 11th.

MKelly this is gonna be an awesome match to watch. As I stated above I've got the top goalie and u have the top goal scorer. As well as the second best overall player. So should end up being a really good match. and Ill have over 1000 people in the stands to watch.
Yeah should be an interesting game. excited to see if my firepower can break through. Potential playoff matchup preview as well
Responding to the GM of the Raging Bulls comments from earlier today, The Sound Tigers GM had this to say.
"I think he is right to say that this will be a tough game. Of course I have confidence we can win, especially when you have a combination of players like Theo and Jonas playing the way they have this season. I think we have one of the most balanced teams in the league and that means we can go into tough buildings like Krackau Arena and leave with the two points."
