It will be a fun one that is for sure! Am I reading righ though that only one person gets promoted?
Nor can I. Only thing I read was playoff champion gets promoted then the rest go to promotion and relegation rounds. I'm hoping I can get these players I just bid on. If so I'll have a good D and first line
well you wont necessarily upgrade to division 2 if you win the championship I think. depends on if their are open slots in d2. But your gonna want to wait a few seasons to get a solid team and a good arena and hr so you can hold your own in d2.
Yeah I might not want to get promoted so quickly, I don't feel ready to compete at the next level
I want to get my arena set before I start searching the market for more players to add to my 2, 3, and 4 lines.
The person who wins the playoffs will get promoted to Division II. The runner-up will play in the promotion round against a Division II team (who will be playing in their own relegation round) and will promote if they beat this team.
yea I know how you feel. My first line is it. That's what makes my team really competitive.
Game Wrap-up
In a Match up of two of the League's heavy hitters, The Bridgeport Sound Tigers emerged victorious over the first place Quad City Mallards on Monday. In front of 1050 at the IWireless Center the home team was outgunned 10-2. The Sound Tigers Opened the scoring early when 53 Seconds in Bridgeport found themselves on an odd man rush. Pavol Briešťanský fed János Pálfalvi who sent the puck onto Antun Herceg who buried from close range. Only 4 minutes later team captain and leading scorer Jonas Silberbauer turned in a loose puck in the slot to make it 2-0, Theo Horvat was credited with the assist in the scramble. Horvat would get on the scoresheet again less than 30 seconds later when he assisted on a goal by defense-man Georgi Baldzhiev. The Period would be rounded out by two more BPT goals, Zvornik(Prokofyev, Lazna)(PP) and Silberbauer(2)(Horvat, Trifan). A five goal first took much of the excitement out of the air in the Quad Cities but QC's Glenn Carter wouldn't go quietly firing past Vítězslav Nedojedlý early in the 2nd to get the Mallards on the board. The score remained until Bridgeport's Baldzhiev scored twice in 4 minutes to complete his hat trick and put the game out of reach. Jonas Silberbauer would also add two more goals before collecting his fifth point of the night, an Assist on a Yegor Prokofyev powerplay goal. The mallards would notch one more consolation goal through Mohammed Kincaid but that would be all they could muster.
Bridgeport goaltender Vítězslav Nedojedlý made 23 saves on 25 shots in his second appearance for the club. Quad City's Jovan Jovanović made 27 saves on 37 shots.
