That's a nice little shopping spree you went on.. I've been looking for a better back up goalie for the past few days, but people are willing to spend way too much money.. I see we square off next week, Good luck.. Lets hope neither one of us loose a starter to an injury before then..
Press Release:
Today the Tomahawks squared off against Cool Beans in Bean Park. 400 were in attendance and they were given quite the show.
The Tomahawks and Cool Beans were both looking for their first win of the season. The Tomahawks were looking to bounce back from a crushing 2-14 defeat from the BOF Devils. After this loss they looked to the market buying Finnish winger Artturi Varvikko and Polish center Miłosz Abramiuk.
The first quarter started well for Cool Beans as Stan Bond received a nice pass from Abe Beyett who put it passed the struggling Vlads Mežozols of the Tomahawks. The Tomahawks did out shoot Cool Beans but their Time in the offensive zone was the same.
The second period seemed as if the red lantern would never shut off. Chad Gill got the Tomahawks on the board with an assist from Jeroným Filipec. one minute later Cool Beans fired the crowd up with a goal from Abe Beyett putting them up 2-1. The Tomahawks however did not stop the fight there. 5 minutes later Wallace Garrison tied it up with an assist from Bert Christenson. Shortly thereafter the Tomahawks had their first lead of the night with a strike from Barry Welsh. Just before the Tomahawks could head into the third period with a 3-2 lead Davy Wagner rallied his team with a late 2nd period goal. Cool Beans really dominated offensively with 56% offensive zone time.
The third period brought high tensions for bothe teams and the home crowd. However just a minute into the 3rd period Tomáš Zaplatílek shut down the Cool Beans thoughts of winning the game easily as he put one into the back of the net passed Mikey West. Afterwards it seemed that all hope was lost in Bean Park as it looked like the Tomahawks would walk away with a win. But with 12 seconds left Stan Bond fired one in and tied the game up sending a wild crowd and pumped up team to overtime.
The crowd could not surge Cool Beans to score a goal passed the Tomahawks but they definitely had the advantage in the offensive zone only allowing the Tomahawks 1 shot. This then brought us to a shootout. Homer Mace did not score on his first try which was the eventual fate of Cool Beans. The Tomahawks next three shooters Miłosz Abramiuk, Nate Mullen, and Tomáš Zaplatílek all scored winning the shootout 3:2. The final score was 5-4 Tomahawks.
Three Stars
1.Stan Bond (Cool Beans)- 2G, 1A, +1
2. Abe Beyett (Cool Beans)- 1G, 2A, +1
3. Clayton Wilks (Cool Beans)- 0G, 2A, +1

Thanks it was a really good game but I definitely need some new additions.
The Quad City Mallards have added multiple new guys since last season. Including 5 new players added today. I will send our official names later on but will not be disclosing amounts. The flock will now have 3 full lines of offense, 4 full lines of defense, and 2 high rated goalies with 2 more in training on the bench.
you barely beat me in our friendly but our game importance was different
Ya I added these guys after our game. I wanted to be ready for greens tomorrow since I'm 0-2 right now after playing a relegate and Bridgeport my first 2 games
