I like your idea to scout specific positions...because I keep getting players I can't use, because I'm stacked at that position. I need another top flight C, that would be a tremendous help or a LW...but I keep getting RD's and RW's.
I think I might focus the the rest of this season training up the kids I have, and if I happen to land a "Korey Buckley" type player then thats all the better.

And just when my Jaguars get on a roll, we lose our starting goaltender to an 18-day injury. Good lord.
Thankfully I have a capable backup -- Russell Lind's three goalie stats total 150 vs. the starter's 152. The difference is about 12 points of EXP.
I'm actually more upset at the 18 days worth of training I'm going to lose on him.

Ha, totally didn't realize that I lost my starting goalie last night, not as a result of the game -- so Lind was in net for my 4-3 win today.
At least I know I can win without him. :>

Anybody playing in the National Cup tomorrow? Might be one or two, I guess I could research it lol.
I agree.
I also would like to have a different type of market. Instead of all cash-per-player Euro based scheme, I would like to see trades. Perhaps then the market would not be abused as much, and people that can't log in as much are not hampered by not being able to look for good deals.

But I will admit, i like the Euro promotion/relegation system
A trade market would make the transfer process extremely illiquid. It may not be a perfect system now, but I dont' think forcing managers to interact with each other in exchanging player-for-player negotiations would make for a simpler process.
Besides, if you play fantasy football, you see how many people veto trades because they perceive them to be lopsided ... imagine the PPM staff having to deal with all of that nonsense.

I think the only frustration i've had so far is the same as I have with Ebay, you have to watch out for/take into account snipers. If a player is worth the money, just go ahead and spend it. On some players, if I know there is going to be a bidding war, I just put in the most i'm willing to spend right off and avoid the hassle. (my same strategy on Ebay)
Lots of derbys in II.1
I <3 N.Y.
I am with Taloncarde regarding free agency.
imho the market is pretty fierce for good talent.

well maybe not lots... but...
Y'all should change your team's location to N.Y.
especially the guy from NJ.
II.1 could become the empire league!
