I am going to start this thread where people can suggest and discuss improvements to the game of basketball.
The improvements can be technical (game calculation) or cosmetic (appearance) or anywhere in between.

The first thing that's been nagging me is player age.
In basketball the players should start at 18, not 15.
They should retire at 36, not 33.
RFA ages can be adjusted accordingly.

I was actually thinking about that too. Was just too lazy to type it up lol
Players don't retire. If their OR is below 250 they will retire when their contract is not renewed.
I've never seen a player over 33 years old.
But OK, lets say they decline, the idea is still the same. All the age factors should be bumped up by 3 years for basketball.

I dunno, I think players in the NBA start declining around 33 or 34. There are exceptions of course.

Generally, players that excel in the mental aspects of the game won't decline as quickly as a player that relies on his physical abilities. Unfortunately in ppm, there's no separation between mental and physical attributes, to there'd be no way to keep it realistic. I think 33 is a good baseline for declining attributes.

Hockey there are players in their 30s. When players hit 0/6 C/L they lose around 0.6-0.7 attribute points per day FOR EACH ATTRIBUTE. Depending on how good they are when they drop to 0/6 will determine how long they are competitive at 0/6 and ultimately when they'll retire as someone fires them with an OR below 250.
So much the better.
If they just move starting age to 18, it will automatically move the retirement up to, since it will take the players longer to reach 0/6.

Keep in mind PPM is based on a European system where players don't go Highschool > College > Pro but rather Junior team > Senior team. 15 represents players arriving at the junior academy.
Based on the statistics for league I.1 in the United States, it seems that the requirements to qualify for prize money for player stats is a bit too stringent. Only a handful of players satisfy the minimum amount required for any of the 5 statistics, and 35 games is also relatively high, especially if you factor in injuries and energy management.
