Hello,
This is the first time I'm playing this game and after reading the guide, what is quiet a bit to take in I was wondering if anyone had some good pointers to improve your team.
I was first thinking of improving my stadium and put shops and stuff in there.
For my player improvement: Is it worth buying a coach from the market or just wait till one pops up.
I was not going to buy players yet since I do not know if it is a wise investment at the moment or just wait and see what youth i can pull from my academy.
Thanks for any advise.

Hi Bertmaenen! What a great team name you have - the wildcards...love it! I also checked out your guys on the court and i reckon you've got some guys with real potential there. Kian Jarrold, for example looks pretty handy.
Well, we're all new here mate and finding our way with our teams. There isn't any one 'right' answer i think the best thing to do is to work out what you would enjoy the most and go for it! Experiment, and see if you can figure out what works.
First, why don't you read this article if you haven't seen it already. I found it very interesting.

There may also be some other articles about managing a team more generally which would be useful. For example those about the drafts, sports academy, finances, player training...
To answer your questions...
Stadium - improving your stadium will gradually make you more money. How quickly to expand it? You need to look at how much you fill your arena at the moment and how this grows as your team, and those teams around you become more successful. You can also change the price of tickets. I have quickly built all my stands up to a low level to see how they do.
Coach - they are very expensive at the moment and tend to go for one weeks sponsorship income (about £1m). I'm not convinced they are worth that much to have so early on. It is only a matter of time until you can recruit your own... and my understanding is that the facilities have a bigger impact earlier on even with no staff members.
Players - i think buying players is a good investment if it means you win more games. If you win more, you can earn more money from attendance and sponsorship in the future. Also from next season there will be a lot more money flowing which could mean the resale value of many players will shoot up.
Anyway, stay in touch. I don't know how many managers will post on the forums but hopefully there will be enough that do to share ideas, help each other out etc.
See you on court sometime!

I've no idea if this will work, but since we're all starting on a level playing field I'm spending most of my money on building my training facility, regen and sports academy - in the hope of improving my players faster than the opposition.
It'll be interesting to see how different season 1 tactics work out for people...

Thanks for the info.
I'm building facilities and arena at the moment.
Since I can't buy players yhat seems to be the best option.
