You could get a goalie about as 70% as good as him for 1/5th of the cost around the same age and he can carry you for a few years as you keep with the building of the infrastructure.

Send challenges to play friendlies against teams with maxed out arenas (like me). Once every week or two, I go through my accumulated challenges and accept games, giving priority to US managers, then Canadian, then anyone.

funny you mentioned that. I have been doing that with Handball. I currently have 80+ to sort through. I have to say it annoys me when one spams with 30+ requests..

for handball i will be accepting most within 1st and 2nd week of the new season.

And I use similar criteria. Difference is that i also prioritize those who have pennants.

I never send more than two challenges per sport to a single manager...a home and home in some cases, usually both away if the stadium is big enough. I hate being spammed with challenges and I won't do it to someone else. What I will do is send them to top teams in a given league, and the one above them if any, of someone who posts they have available dates in the forum.
