Temat: International Cup Competition: ChL and CWC
Canada's two teams (Godot & Georgian Bay Giants) both advanced from the preliminary group stage of the Cup Winner's Cup. The original 80 teams have been reduced to 32 and will now commence the single game elimination stage. Both teams qualified as a result of reaching Canada's National Cup Final last season.
Canada's Godot will be matched up against Ukraine's M.A.I and the Georgian Bay Giants will play Serbia's RK Srbija. Both games are scheduled for Nov. 25

Our abysmal performance in the CWC and ChL means after next year we may drop to one team in each competition rather than our current two in each. :S
I won't let that happen 
I made the elimination stage in the CWC. I didn't think that was that bad.

Looking further, we performed 34th in the CWC and 21st in the ChL. I would credit that to Calgary Cowballs going inactive and being in the CWC. But, I couldn't resist taking a shot at Godot when he actually loses

It's not often, but it happens. :p Don't worry, my team is set for competing in the CWC next season... I think.
I will, however, point out that the NT is in the top 25% of the world. :p
Yea the NT is slayin' it!!! Regarding CWC: I much prefer it to ChL. In my experience in soccer, it is a much easier competition and since it gives the same OTR as the ChL, it is far better for your team's financial success. The only thing worse about it is the trophy should you win it is worth fewer points.
I'm pretty disapointed I didn't get into the CWC. I thought coming 3rd in the NC to Godot and the Roughnecks was a sure thing for one of them making the playoff final. Of course they had to play each other first round.
Next season's CWC and ChL groups have been draw. Teslas are grouped in with:
Slovakia I.1 2nd - 49 OTS
Russia I.1 2nd - 49 OTS
China I.1 1st - 42 OTS
France I.1 2nd - 46 OTS
(Me) Canada I.1 2nd - 46 OTS
Three of 5 advance. I may have a shot at advancing if I can beat China and France out.
