Hi all, new to handball here. Does anyone have any advice on player training ratios for the various positions? I should also add I'm new to handball, full stop. I think I've seen a couple of Olympic matches, that's it haha.
This is what I ended up doing, basically. I'm also scouting some senior USA NT players at various positions to see what's up (my TF is so low I'm not really hurting myself to wait for the scouting). Thanks! I'm finally in all four sports, and really pumped to try to build (and I know it's going to be slow going).
I never realized how large of a gap there was on people's starter teams. My team is full of players in the ~200-250 OVR range, meanwhile the top team in my league started with players 400+ OVR. I always thought your team strength would be similar to other newly formed teams in your league?
Same with me (we're both in this league, right?). I just bought some players on the market to be somewhat competitive, though I don't expect (or even necessarily want) to promote after next season.
I thought I had a good set of tactics and a good plan to try to beat Devils HC tonight, but . . . didn't work out.
Well I made my first transfer today! I was trying to hold off on making them since I was worried after my first try at playing PPM back in 2012 ended in my hockey team going bankrupt from signing too many transfers. Wanted to max out my arena and facilities first, but since I made it to I.1 with my homegrown team, I figured I could count that as a win and have some cautious buying.
Since my team seems to be the clear favorite to win the league, figured id try and start with some young guys. Also trying to stick with the USA guys for now at least. Added an old reverist draft pick Herbert Barry . Not the best player with his CD, but solid quality and with my poor recruiting for the last couple years, hes still probably my best prospect and as long as he doesnt have too much more bad CD luck he should be able to start for me in a few years I think!
He's been trained as more of a dual back. Since I try and run separate offensive/defensive squads, I'll probably push him to be offensive minded. think he can overtake some people by the time i get back into I.1

Yeah, I think making it to I.1 with your homegrown players is very impressive.
I'm the only other long-term player down in this league, and it doesn't look like I'm going to compete with you. Have fun this season brother.

Thanks man! It was definitely nice to make it up there finally, this is my third try at PPM and I had never made it to the top league in any sport before haha.
Will be nice being back up next season if I do keep up, but my team seems like its pretty much in between, and even the non-playoff teams are a long way away from me, so feel like good odds that next year you'll be taking my place in I.1 from me lol

Nice! I hang on to my nearly-relegated position in I.1 each season, but it may be nice to relegate for a season or two.
