I'll be placing some players on the market this week (the ones not in camp) and I'll make the deadline sometime around 9-10 pm Eastern time. This way, it would be hopefully easier for them to remain the US region. I don't care how much they sell for; it's not like I need the cash.

The Americans handily beat the Brazilians in a 6-2 game. The first two periods were dominated by the United States, with a 4-0 lead going into the third, and a quick goal a few minutes into the final period making the game 5-0.
But, the Brazilians weren't going down without a fight. Brazil scored 2 goals within 3 minutes, but Sheldon Dupuis scored the final tally making the game a 6-2 victory for USA!
The United States was stronger in every regard and flexed their offensive muscles by outshooting Brazil 45-18! The United States was on the powerplay 7 times capitalizing on their chances by scoring three powerplay goals. We gave up three powerplay opportunities to Brazil, but kept them to only one powerplay goal.
Other places in the Division 1 U20 World Championship, Russia shuts out Portuagal 2-0 and Sweden beats the United Kingdom with a 4-1 final score. After today's game, the United States is in position #1. Tomorrow we play Portugal, and I hope for a good result, but wish us luck!

Well, it was a blowout folks! What more can I say? In today's game against Portugal I was expecting a good result, but 10-2 wasn't what I expected.
Portugal opened the scoring in the first few minutes, but then the United States went on a streak with 5 unanswered goals. From there the effort from Portugal was futile. They attempted to get back in the game by cutting the deficit to 5-2, but the offence by the American boys ran over Portugal's defense scoring 5 more goals to bring the final score to a 10-2 win.
The United States has been tearing it up in the Division 1 Preliminary round, so it looks like we will make the playoffs, and if the team is up to it, we may be promoted to the top division for the first time in the history of the U20 USA team!
Wish us luck against Russia tomorrow!

Sadly, as we all know, all good things must come to an end. That was the story of the game. The game came down to a battle of the goaltenders with the score never being more than a one goal difference. Even though we lost to Russia in the shoot out, 3-2, tomorrow's game against the United Kingdom. We are a better team on paper and have home ice advantage, so hopefully we can maintain our #1 standing.
Team USA has picked itself up after that disappointing loss yesterday by beating the United Kingdom 5-2. The game was close with a 2-2 tie going into the third, but the team went out there in the last period and came away with 3 unanswered goals to close out the game with a "W".
The United States plays against Lithuania in the first round of the playoffs. Wish us luck as we begin our playoff campaign to represent the United States!

Today the United States advanced to the next round of the playoffs with a 3-1 victory over Lithuania. We controlled the entire game, but only capitalized 3 times on our 43 shots.
Next we play the Russians. They beat us 3-2 in the shootout during the preliminaries, so it looks like we may have to work a little harder to beat them now. Hopefully the boys will be able to get a win tomorrow so we can make it to the Division 1 finals!

The finals are the final obstacle we face in this season's division 1 playoff round! Today, the United States narrowly beat the Russians in a nail-biting 3-2 victory.
Both teams were trading goals for the first two periods until Rodney Davis scored, making the game 3-2. From there, both teams fought it out for the win, but the goaltending and defense of the Americans forced the Russians to accept a close loss.
Tomorrow we play against Austria in the finals! I was hoping to play against Canada, so we could witness a good old-fashioned rivalry, but nonetheless, team USA may be able to finish #1 in division 1.
Wish us luck tomorrow!

Thanks! You did well in the top division this season. It must be pretty tough, though.
The U18 team managed to avoid relegation this season. Last season, it somehow managed to make the playoffs (though I think this season's team was actually the better team ).
The teams are much more talented in the top division. The format is also a little different. You only have 3 games to avoid the relegation round (which is 3 games instead of 2). After that, there are 3 more games in the combined division to make the playoffs (2 of the first 3 games count towards the second round). Basically, the earlier games are more important, though conserving energy is still very important.

Yeah, very nice job. I was happy to see Rodney Davis finally put up some goals in the last two games.
Congrats, Kejoh! It looks like I'm lagging as the lone disappointment in USA hockey. Only the senior team isn't going to be in the Top Division next season. Hopefully that will change finally.
