Why do those teams even bother grabbing young talents like that? They could get double OR players for the same price easily
I wasn't aware there was a NT player on the market at that moment.
Let's try to keep this one in house:

The auction will finish on saturday and I won't be around this weekend. So good luck to other canadian GMs with good facilities.

Well this is exciting but EXTREMELY damaging to my sleep cycles. At press time, Banks is up for 10M between some Slovakian club and a rich team for Florida. Whoever gets him will be 1,000 times better than those two ghastly clubs who looked like they might get him for $6M. One guy was level 1 training and the other level 2...I gave up at 5+M.
Wow. 10.5M to the level 15 Orlando club. And the winner is - the Canada U18 team...

Sorry but I don't think that Banks is worth anything near that. I would suggest $5 million for his current make up...
Please, I paid 50M for a COACH a few weeks ago. There is a LOT of money in play in hockey, you have to be willing to shell off 3 times what you think they are worth to get a player with high Qs. It's just how it is, sadly.
Yeah, well, I usually comb the early morning boards looking for any kind of talent to upgrade my team. Back in my day, it was called scraping the bottom of the barrel. Still, I don't think Banks HAS high qualities. And next time you are looking for a dinner companion, please invite me out for one of your 50M dollar meals...[salivating face icon]
I did not think he would go for that either. But I get a huge part of the puzzle done for down the road.
Better "down the road" "than up the creek" which is where my house has been too many times!
Young players with decent OR are the best money getters in my opinion. People are willing to pay a lot for such a player. I did this a few times and will keep going to that well because it is the best way of generating extra income...
For example, I paid 40,000 for Jahor Masalievic at 15 yo. I trained him for 3 seasons. Now he is 900+ OR and 18. I just sold him for 8.6M. Do I think he is worth this? No, not at all. But it's great for me. And getting him in the years where the salary is lowest make for a good net gain (upwards to 6M net gain).
Banks was worth around that ammount from what I have seen on the market. In the end, players are worth what people are willing to give.

Should he be of interest, I pulled this guy recently.

5/6 hurts his chances of being on the regular NT, but since CL really only starts showing much around 21, U18 and U20 don't really care. In fact, those guys with lower CL do tend to start out with higher ORs, so as youngsters they have a chance to shine. Whether you keep them after that for your own team depends what level you play in and how good they are, I guess? Worth a scout to keep track, either way.
I'm back from traveling all week last week. I still hate playing this game on my phone or laptop, ha! So many scouting reports to file!

I agree with Krokador, especially since Clit and I have low standards anyways. Just to remind everyone that we ACTUALLY are doing our job, we are pleased to announce three kids for next season so as to get a head start with the first friendly of Season 30. Please welcome -

Pleased to see this little flag on my players' page. My first one to come from my team and actually develop there. Looking forward to this becoming a regular thing.

Well, for $2.4M we figure that it was worth it to miss him the first time around [smiley face icon]!
