I absolutely hate not having a game every day lol. the guy I had scheduled for today canceled last night so I didnt have a chance to put in another game and it's been driving me crazy all day.

did he cancel or did he get scheduled into a national cup game? that could explain the short notice

I'm not sure, I forget the name of the player, and id never played them before. they just disappeared from my calendar

If he had canceled it himself you would have gotten a notice. If the game cancels it for him due to the start of a tournament you get no notice :/

It is indeed impossible to cancel a friendly less than 24hrs before the game. However, in Slovakia, we have so many teams we play the National Cup on the first week of the season already. The season starts on Monday and since the 1st round of the Cup is played on Tuesday, the draw takes place less than 24 hrs before the game.
Hence an advice - do not schedule a friendly game against a team from Slovakia (and other countries like Czech Republic, Poland or Latvia may follow the pattern in the seasons ahead) for the FIRST TUESDAY OF THE SEASON because you'll lose it for sure. Less crowded countries like USA, Canada, Spain or Cameroon are a safer bet. For the rest of the season, the cup draw takes place on Thursday and hence gives you more than enough time to organize a new game may your opponent play the cup on the next Tuesday.

alright cool. That makes sense, because I didnt get a cancellation notice so it must be that. And I believe the player was from slovakia.

I have a concern. Regarding the hypothesis some managers put on the caracteristics ratio players should have, i am wondering how (for them that say 4-3-2) they define which secondary have to be 75% and the other 50% as in the PPM guide it is said for both of them they are "secondary" attributes ?

Also, even if this 4-3-2 is functionnal, what should be for those managers the ratios for shooting for instance or passing for wingers ?
