True... but he'll have many seasons to train at 13/13 facilities and is already playing in 40% of competitive games at least. So come time when his bundle is adequate for the NT, unlike most rookies, he'll have decent experience. I totally get what you are saying though. My SA provides sub-300 OR guys which is quite frustrating for a level 12 SA.

Pure training when young and then thrown onto the team to build up exp

I think the first might be better long term.

With a high level of regen the training lost due to playing is next to nothing.

Hi everyone. I was appointed as an assistant coach by themightyoil to set up the tactics and formation for NT Canada tonight. I am honored by this opportunity and I would like to present what I saw in your NT. First of all the roster:

I have my reasons why I set up lines like this. I really like the fact that NT Canada has several very perspective and young players, so I wanted to see them in action today. Thus I made the 4th line with 3 young attackers and supported this line with experienced defensemen. I cannot forsee whether this works well (no goal recieved or not) so just in case I put into the goal the best goalie you have on the roster. Also, the 4th line will be playing just the 1st period and if they do well, you can try to let them play more often. The more often the young players will play for your NT the more experience they get and the experience is invaluable. But this also requires these young players to play in their league teams regularly (best scenario would also be the international competitions).
For the first three lines I wanted to create a mix of players with high chemistry and players with high potential and lower chemistry. This way the chemistry should not have negative effects on the performance as long as I also expect opponent to play with not the best they have.
For powerplay lines I always choose high experience and high shooting skill. Penalty killing is always unpredictable, so just experienced players with chemistry there.
As for the tactics, I bulit up the tactics regardless of what the Denmark is going to play. I often try to predict what my opponent will be playing, nevertheless I did not have much time to get to know Canadian NT very well so I wanted to focus on what the team has to offer. So tonight (afternoon in Canada) the way I want to beat the Denmark is to have much less players sent out, to play at least 5 times powerplay and try to score decisive goals in those powerplays. This can work provided that goalie has his good day of performance (this term was confirmed by the game designers, they designed goalies to perform much better in some matches). Denmark is a strong opponent, but they can be defeated. I will be glad to answer any questions but I would rather not discuss the tactics before 7:15 PM CET, if Denmarks knew the tactic Canada is going to play tonight, they might counter it.

Tierney doesn't need a backup. You might as well play Huey, Louey and Dewey

The big number is friendlies plus WC games. So Whitton has played 60 friendlies and 42 WC games.
