substitutions occur at certain points in the game when you want to take out player A and put in player B in his place. to do this, on the substitutions page choose the time you want the change to occur, then the player you want to come into the game, then the player they are replacing.
wish they had it set up where you could pull a forward and replace him with a D man if you get a lead late or something.
Substitutions almost seem pointless at this point because we have no insight into fatigue. I suppose substituting in someone with a high attribute late in the game who can't make your regular roster is somewhat useful....

Keep in mind, subs lose just as much seasonal energy for playing only 5 minutes as guys who play the full 90. Until we get conditional subs (where you can sub a forward for a defender if you're ahead at the 60 min mark for example), it's probably best to avoid using subs except for late in the season or certain must-win games, like an even National Championship matchup.

Well using subs isn't completely worthless you can use it to get 3 guys experience each match.
Also can suspended players play in frendlies or what??
