What is common practice regarding player training.
For example, do you train a player's primary skill to their maximum potential and then start to train them on their secondary skill?
Or, do you train the primary to say 60 then work on their secondary?
Also, if a player's max is say 50, it appears you can train past this figure. Is there a penalty % for this?
Thanks

there is no max on a players skill.
imo would be to train primary and secondary skills all evenly doing a bit at a time as this is far more beneficial than having a really high primary and having the secondary skills catch up.

You say there is no player skill max. What are the two figures next to a players skills e.g 45(30) greyed out mean???
45 is the current attribute or skill and 30 is how quickly that attribute will improve with training with 100 being maximum and 0/1 being the minimum. For example training 45(30) will not increase to 46 as quickly as 45(75). The greyed out number will fluctuate if the player has not been scouted and AVQ (average quality) is the average of all the grey numbers.
You're welcome. Most managers have played the ice hockey game which has a similar game engine so if there is anything you are unsure about feel free to ask.
What are people's thoughts on training shooting? Do you think it's as important as the primary skill? Or a secondary skill? Or somewhere in between?
I think it should be slightly higher than secondary for forwards, perhaps 65/75% of primary. It could be said that it is important for defenders with good heading when your team has a set-piece.
I need some coaches desperately to improve my training regimes on my players.
They never appear to come.
Is it just a matter of waiting patiently for coaches to be hired or is there a way of getting some?

You have been unlucky in not pulling any coaches. The market is saturated with players and staff on wednesday when we receive our sponsership income and sometimes you can pick up a bargin if people don't pay attention. If you are online when most europeans are offline and asleep you may not have to enter into a bidding war and could pick up a coach on the cheap but they tend to go for more than any other staff position. Fairly high AvQ is important for development and i wouldn't pay too much as a couple of coaches will eventually come your way.
Cheers fubar. If I can get a cheeky steal on a coach, what would you look for in AvQ, skill etc?
