I just pulled a 15-year-old with great qualities at both PF and SF. His current height is 198. Which position should I train him for? Will he become too tall for SF?
Wrong Q&A
I would think he's destined to be a PF. I don't think growth rates are set in stone, so he could remain an SF, but he's already so close that I doubt it.You could always train him as an SF and then switch him to PF when he gets closer to 205cm.

If the game principle is anything like real life, then you want to play four lines if you can. Energy affects performance. There is not way around it. Game importance setting of course affects the amount of energy used. If your fourth line is not a liability and can perform well enough against an opponent without getting blown out then why wouldn't play one.
This is why you have the option of reacting to your opponent withdrawing their 4 line. Professional hockey teams use 4 lines if the fourth line is good enough. Great example Boston and Pittsburgh. Two of the tops.

Do goalies get more experience from sitting on the bench for an entire league game or playing an entire friendly?
I'm trying to figure out the best way to increase my 3rd string's experience to take over for my aging backup.

Backup goalies USED to gain experiences, but if I'm correct PPM changed that. I think that happened, when they took backup goalie out of goalie strentgh calculation.
I'm convinced thats how it is now. More, because I used to track "exp progress", and backups gain zero experience.
So, the only way to gain exps is to play your kids - for which I recommend playing with VH intensity.
Someone, correct me if I'm wrong.

OK, so whenever I'm in a shootout, my shooters miss the net 99% of the time. I pick the 3 with the best shooting...is there anything I can do to stop this. It's very unrealistic - I just had about a 9 round shootout where I missed the net 8 of 9 times.
Never seen that. Pick players with good Sho and Exp.
Exp?! Isn't technique the atribute needed for penalty shots (besides shooting)?
What would be ideal Exp? My best players are fairly young. Their Exp in the last shootout was 45, 50, and 58.
How should I train up this 330/83 player I got in the draft? Should I make him a defenseman because his TEC is so weak? Or should I make him a wing because his TEC is so weak and his starting offensive ratings are better? Or should I just cut him loose?
Def: 36 (87)
Off: 78 (93)
Sho: 49 (86)
Pas: 54 (88)
Tec: 42 (50)
Agr: 54 (92)

Not sure if this is a problem or a 'feature'. Most of my players are in training camp. I have just enoug not in camp to play 3 lines. One of my non camp players gets injured, Cody grace. He is day to day. So I replace him in the line up with a player in camp. Figured he would play and not get the camp bonus for the day. I look at the game summary and my line up is totally random with Cody grace playing. Left d playing right d. Centers playing wing, wings playing center. Is this the way it's supposed to work? So I cannot use a player in camp to play a league game?
The good news is even with a random line up my team still manage to win.
