howdy upper-leaguers...posted this to my forum page today but wanted to solicit some opinions from you folks as well.

so my goalie is 2 points off best shooter on the team and he has the highest passing AND technique. should I put him as the kicker in the corner kicks / free kicks sets?

In real life I assume that no one would do that because the other team can get the ball and run it up and score before the guy gets back in the net, but in this sim is the game going to realize that's a potential problem? I kind of doubt it, and it'd free up the guys currently kicking to be pass / header recipients. Anyone see any reason this WOULDN'T work? Long term it'll be less of an issue as other guys train up their shooting (no reason to train the goalie there) but for now it's very tempting...

I'd assume there'd be no danger in doing that.

worth a shot. the guy originally taking the kicks was 23-20-21 but got injured so I sold him off - the guy doing it right now is 22-19-19 and keeps missing the goal. If the goalie's better...

Well guys I wanted to enjoy futbol here but I just can't get into it. It's just not a complete product yet. I really wish they had taken another half year, or however long it would take, and completed it before a final release. That said I decided to just let my futbol team lapse into bot status. Enjoy the easy wins! I hope y'all somehow find something fun to the game and have good success.

I'm going to keep my team but as you've noticed, I am not paying too much attention to the day to day activities. The losses have mounted but I don't care. I'm just going to try and build my stadium right now to something decent. If I leave my team, then when I come back I'll have to do it all over again.

I really feel like season one is the best time to sell big and buy small.... I sold a player that was decent for a lot.

This game kills me sometimes. Controll the ball 59% vs there 41%. 7 shots vs 3 and lose 2-0 to a stupid Noname. What the hell. If things were more even I could understand the score but I guess possesion & shot totals really are meaningless in this game! And yet that the only info this game give you to go by to figure out what your doing wrong. What a joke!

and I thought that my team winning against a no-name with a 90th minute goal was bad.

football is not finished imo. tons of work to do. right now I'm completely disinterested in the football side of ppm. my team's standings show that.
