Nice Center you got there (if you make him a center, although he can be a good goalie too I guess)
Right now with my shortage of right handed defensemen, he is an offensive defenseman. He has 43 pts in def, 20 in off and only 15 as a goalie.
His Avg Q probably is not high enough for NAT so I'm not locking him into a training schedule just yet.
As a center he'll be way ahead of what he'd be as a defender fairly quick. I wouldn't rule him out as a nat team player in future seasons either. It's tough to say tho.
i've had a few players who i've fudged up their future by deciding where I "need" them vs where they should go. I recommend training for the position that best fits him, either you will get players in the future that fit your "need" or you can sell him for a pretty penny if he doesn't beat your current centers.
Now that may be the way to go
I have a few guys who have good Qs, but I keep changing their position and how they were traiend (At least I used to) so they fall behind players that if you were to look at Q alone they should be beating.

I got a really good kid--258 OR, looks really good unscouted, could be a stud goalie, Center/Winger or a defenseman. Even build right now...decisions decisions. Can't wait to scout him!
Me too. Again. 5 guys all between 195 and 222, took 4 of them. As expected, riddled with fatal flaws. My Academy doesn't even seem to try anymore?
4 wonderful kids all welcomed to the team. 2 will probably be sold. The better two are going into the team right away. They have some flaws, but I'll train around them. The best one is a 256 OR guy with unscouted AvQ of 75. Hopefully it's more than that.
Wow grats dude! It's something when even 1 new prospect comes along that can get on a good team let alone 2 like this!
I ended up with 2 getting beat up and sent to the door for even thinking they could be hockey players. The other 2 begged their way out of the beating and agreed to be equipment managers as a way to pay for getting the chance to get evaluated.
