If I'm playing two center backs or center forwards or center midfielders, side by side, does it matter if the right center player plays with his right foot or vice versa, or does foot preference only pertain to playing on the outside zones? thanks.

The closer a player is to a particular side, the more often the player would influence that area.

From what I can tell, there is no reportable data on how much it matters, but there is a difference according to the guide.
