My HR is level 8. Why is it that I cannot assign a 3rd staff member? It says Maximum=3 as per the table.

Not sure what table you're referring to, but check out the "staff" section of the guide.

It notes there the exact conditions under which you can have (or more accurately) NEED more than two staff members.

To my knowledge, this dynamic is unique to handball and is different from hockey and soccer.

I actually ran a couple players above the player cap for a little while last season, but decided the extra staff costs of doing so were quite counter-productive.

P.S. I say "NEED" in the last post, because the way the game seems to be set up, I don't actually get any added benefit from having extra staff members.

From my own experience I'll tell you... you're basically just paying more people for the same level of efficiency.

P.P.S. The table you're looking at has nothing to do with assigning staff members.

That table describes how many staff APPLICANTS you can expect to recruit in a given week (dependent on your HR level).

Basically it's the sister (or brother) table for the sports academy one that tells you how many prospects you'll see each week at each level of SA facility.

Anyone know how loan "premature repayment" amount is calculated?

I'm trying to figure out when short loans are useful versus long term loans, but I need to understand how the prepayment works.

An example to explain why I care:
- would a 16 week, 22% loan be better a better option if you could pay it off after 4-5 weeks, or would an 8 week, 14% loan (that you can't pay off until week 7 or 8) be better?

Obviously, the higher interest would tax you more while you have it, but it would leave you with more money in your bank account each week to hopefully pay off the loan faster. So if we know how prepayment is calculated, we can develop a model for what loans make sense in given situations.

Thoughts?

it does not really matter, but i found it is better to make LONG term loans even though the interest is higher.

since i will be paying little, in a few weeks id have the money to pay back and get a huge discount.

See that's what I thought too, but I just paid off a 22% interest, 16 week loan yesterday that I'd made only 3 payments on.

The total interest cost would have been $2,245,328 (spread out over the 16 weeks).

I ended up paying $1,001,471 in interest and fees. So in 3 weeks, I paid almost 50% of all of the interest that I would've paid over 16 weeks.

I would've only lost $1,428,840 in total interest over 8 weeks had I chosen the 14% option by comparison (~$400,000 more)

Had I been able to pay off the 14% loan in 6 weeks, would it have been a better option than the 22% over 3 weeks?

There's definitely a point where the long term loan becomes a bad deal by comparison... I just don't know what it is since I don't know how they compute prepayment cost.

They are showing turnovers now. Does anyone know what it includes and what affects it? I looked around but could not find any info on it.

I've been trying to figure it out too, since the TO statistic seems to have a pretty strong, inverse correlation with winning. I don't think I've won a game yet where my team had more turnovers than the other guy.

Initially, I thought that it had some relationship to the steals/blocks statistics, but this game (ppm game: -- ), and others seem to debunk that (the other team had 10 more turnovers than I had steals and blocks combined). Now I don't know what to think...

It's interesting to look at how tactic seem to affect it though.

Our recent playoff matches present us with an awesome opportunity to try to form some hypotheses. For instance, look at these two matchups:

finals game 1: --
finals game 2: --

The ONLY differences between these games were:
- 1 day of practice/training (the games were played on consecutive days)
- Slight difference in stamina loss
- First game was away for me, 2nd game was at home for me.
- My tactics

Now I think that the first 2 things have negligible impact/effect (1 day of practice is nothing in the grand scheme, and I actually lost more stamina than the other guy did).

One could argue that home/away has an impact of some sort with steals/blocks/turnovers, and it probably does.

But what I think made the biggest impact was switching my tactics to 3-2-1 and fast breaks in the 2nd game, from 5-1 balanced in the first game.

In the first game, my opponent had 8 TO and in the 2nd game, he had 17 TO.

In the finals game 3: -- (where the only change made was that he played VH instead of H), he had 18 TO, and I had the same number (10) as I did in game two. So despite him playing harder, and having home court advantage in game 3, he actually had 1 more TO, and I had the same number.

I don't know if anyone will take the time to read all of this, but it definitely seems like different defensive tactics seem to have a direct affect TOs.

I know this may have been covered before in one of the other sports, but to be honest I was too lazy to look.. Anyways... does it matter as far as age goes when this particular SA is pulled? For example, If I wait to pull in season 3 will they be 15 or 16? Thanks!

Pretty sure it automatically processes at the end of the season if you haven't triggered it. So this pull will absolutely be 16 as of monday regardless of what you do.

well yea!!! 5-1 D is not so good against backs... You only have one high at 9m defending against a 1 passer and 2 player attack.

I must apologize. If you have a very good pivot you can do it but he needs to be very aggressive and have better passing skill than a normal attacking pivot.
