That's what I tried to do. Slowly build up a decent, cheap staff and hope to get some good pulls along the way. The cheap staff is no longer good enough and the good staff pulls never came. I've been keeping everyone and hoping something miraculous would happen. It didn't. And I finally got tired of waiting, so I splurged yesterday. I think I'm going to keep doing that until I get a good staff.

In my attempt to go bankrupt, I've now turned my attention to the right side of the defense. I can't get good (cheap!) RDs to save my life. I only had one RD on the team for the longest time. I actually bought two RD one day to fix that problem, but one of the bastards turned into an LD when he joined my team! I know what you're thinking, players can't change their preferred side. But there's no way I could ever make such a stupid mistake, so he must have changed sides. I finally added another decent looking RD this morning. Wait...yep, he's still an RD. whew!

None of the managers who joined last week have logged in since they got their teams I was going to email them a link to the forums to get them some help. Maybe next time.

We had a bit of an upset in game two. #7 Smugglers top #2 Williston 4-2. I'm surprised to see Williston's new goalie give up so many goals. Even though it would help me if the Smugglers won, I'll be pulling for the Big Red tomorrow. The Smugglers just aren't active enough to deserve advancing

Wow. Smugglers pull off the upset! That's a tough break, alien. I was looking forward to the battle of the big money goalies when you played ZaZenbeast round 2. This is a pretty big upset.

Pretty shocked myself. Wonder what the smugglers have been building up since I played them last...

Wow that is crazy. There had to have been at least one upset somewhere. And now I have to face Smugglers...haha lovely. Here's to a competitve series!

9-16 and 17-20th placements have no real effect other than OTR correct?

That is correct for the III leagues in the US right now because we don't have any IV leagues to relegate to. 17th-20th relegate automatically, while 13th-20th would play the runner up from the lower league for the right to stay up. None of that affects us yet.

However, your finishing position influences sponsor offers. Although I'm not sure if that's the regular season finish or the playoffs. Maybe someone can pop in and tell us

Surprised to see the blowout in the other game. Garnette with the 5-1 win on the road. I thought that would be tighter with those two goalies. Both with the same tactic, but ZaZenbeast goes on Low? That was a mistake.

Yea I got lucky there, I was shocked at the result too. I'll take it though, I'm quite happy with it lol. Especially since I lost one of my rising stud players, 2nd liner Darrell Kern, for 17 days due to a left wrist fracture. That was bound to happen, I had been fortunate that most of my prior injuries happened to non-starters.

Off to the finals

And he played on high to boot. I like that the game was a sellout, that adds nicely to my coffers. This is going to be a good series, maybe both of us can get promoted lol.

Anyone know why the next round of playoffs(finals, 3rd place game, 5th place game, etc..) aren't showing up on the playoff page or the team calenders?

The second round isn't finished. Game 3's are on Monday. Even though our league is finished, they won't update calendars until everyone in the entire game has played the second round.
