Well at least some of y'all are doing good. I've lost my past 7 games most being shutouts and I've only won 1 game the entire season. Good thing is I'm getting started on a base triple floor stand.
No im staying above the mark that gets regulated.
Press Release:
Today the 12-2-0-5 Tomahawks faced-off against the 15-0-0-4 BOF Devils at the Devil Arena. It was certainly going to be a tough game for the Tomahawks as the BOF Devils killed the Tomahawks earlier this season 2-14. The Tomahawks however have significantly improved their team and were looking for revenge.
The first period started the way the Tomahawks drew it up as Ilmari Väinämö put the Tomahawks up 1-0. Although there first period lead would not carry over as Devils player Evžen Uher capitalized on Yuri Dinero penalty and tied the game 1-1 going into the second.
The second period went almost exactly the same way as the Tomahawks and the BOF Devils traded goals from Lance Lockwood and Kurtis Little . The Tomahawks were hanging with the BOF Devils but the Devils clearly had the slight advantage. The goals score in the 2nd were only 5 minutes apart so the Devils were playing with a lot more tenacity than the Tomahawks.
The third period was where hero's shined in this game. Just like every period started the Tomahawks got to the early lead with a Stephanos Koustoubos goal. But the lead was short lived as Marcel Kopecký found the back of the net on a powerplay and tied it up 3-3. It looked like the Tomahawks would face their third OT of the season but they had not given up. Ilmari Väinämö scored once again with less than 10 minutes left. The 600 home spectators were hoping for a miracle and it came with 5 minutes left. Jaŭhien Bunčuk lit the lamp to tie the game 4-4. This game was going to OT.
The real story was not OT but the shootout. Neither team could manage to put one passed each other so they tried their luck in the 1 on 1's. The BOF Devils shot first and scored first. Kurtis Little put the Devils up 1-0 in the shootout and that seemed to be the winner. The Tomahawks were unable to score in the shootout and the BOF Devils won 2-0 in the shootout with a final score of 5-4 BOF Devils.
Three Stars
1. Ilmari Väinämö 2G,1A
2. Roman Panoš 3A
3. Stephanos Koustoubos 1G,1A
